so-so episode..I knew the elephant would be sent back...we have elephant drama here in LA zoo...how they miss their family
the kids drama gets a bit annoying..

1.04 million viewers for last night's episode.

Not good. But it did build on its lead-in again.

I don't know what the CW expects when they put a scripted drama behind a lead-in that is barely able to get 500,000 viewers.

Actually no, I'd say they cancelled 7th Heaven for this (and I have no complaints about that). Technically, they cancelled Veronica Mars to make room for Reaper.

I remember I was watching the preview channel and saw this. It looked inherently crappy so the only thought I had was you motherfuckers cancelled Veronica Mars for this. I will never watch it and will always hate it. Totally rational.

I hadnt actually planned on watching the 2nd episode but since there was nothing else on that I wanted to watch, I put it on. I really like this show. The characters are likable enough plus I love the African theme and all of the animals.

no, it's scripted.. a merged family ...staying with the Father's late wife's father
he's a vet
they will convert the lodge into a eco friendly lodge; compete with the opulant one that neighbors them
as someone mentioned ...good family fare.

Intriguing idea -- a reverse Aliens in America/Little Mosque on the Prairie.

Yeah if there are still families out there who like to watch TV together, Life is Wild would be a good alternative to Extreme Makeover Home Edition (which has gotten kind of tired, I think)

I really want this show to do well because:

a) It looks interesting.

b) There aren't very many family-friendly dramas left on TV.

But, this show is on the CW so basically it's fucked. Ratings last night were not good. 1.64 million viewers.

On the bright side, it actually did improve on its lead-in Online Nation by nearly 1 million viewers (which says a lot about how poorly the CW is doing).

I liked it. Typical family drama series set in Africa. Its a new twist on an old story and I'd be lying if I didnt get a little sniffly towards the end.
