I would most definitely have voted for the best player, but there's no way I could vote for a person like Johnny Fairplay or some mactor bitch.

There's a difference between doing what you gotta do to get to the end and pissing everybody off in the process and playing the game smartly while preserving your relationships with the contestants that get voted out.

I'm not saying it shouldn't play a part at all, but if I think it's stupid if people base their vote solely on need. If there's an alliance of two people who pretty much played the same game, then maybe that would factor in. Otherwise, fuck it, I'd be voting for who played the best.

Geez, I was just saying how I'd be thinking if I was on the Jury. Like it or not, Survivor is not just a giant game of chess with no actual implications concerning who wins or loses. If I was on the show, I would be forging actual relationships with people, and I would have to decide who I would actually want to give a million dollars. If someone who was loaded played the game best, but was sitting next to someone with kids to feed who was living in a trailer, I would at least consider...

Agreed, like someone mentioned before, I'd want to give my vote to the best player, because I'd want to lose to the best, not some tool. Makes me look better to lose to a decent player over a shitty one.

If I were on the jury, I would vote for the person I hate the least. Most likely they are not to happy with the people left. So they probably vote for who they dislike the least.

This. No one wants to lose the game of Survivor to someone they feel sympathy for. Jurors want to lose to someone they respect.

Basically she does have a family to support, I don't think really anyone else in the merge does. She doesn't make a lot of money and could probably use a million better than anyone else left.

Which means fuck-all in the game of Survivor...or it SHOULD.

I love me some Denise, but if she somehow makes it to F3 and starts whining about "I gotta feed my KIDDIES", I will retch.
