No--you just hold the apple stem, recite the alphabet, and when the stem breaks off at a letter the person in your middle grade class who begins with that letter is who you will marry. End of story; it NEVER FAILS.

Go to a church at midnight on Midsummer's Eve. Walk around it 9 times while sprinkling hemp seeds and saying, "As the hemp seeds I do sow, who will follow me and mow?"

She just left off the line at the top of the K, which would make it an R. I think she gets a half clairvoyant point for that.

"Fortune tellers" when we were predicting our future husbands, "footballs" when we folded it one more time, launched it with our thumb and middle finger, and then lodged it nto our neighbor's eye.

The fortune teller said I would marry a man who's first initial was K and instead I got an R. I can't believe the paper gods would mislead me like that.
