I see what the problem is with the graph. In the results for episode 14 you have Alexis and Jon getting 29%, but on the graph you have them getting 19%. So someone should fix that.

When I ran it a while back, Rupert actually didn't do that poorly in PI. I know it won't be 100% accurate, but it's better than nothing, IMO.

I like the 1-10 format much better.

About doing past seasons, I don't think it'd be that accurate. An example- In Pearl Islands everybody (even at Sucks) loved Rupert, but I bet he would get one of the worst ratings. Same with what you said about Alicia.

I totally disagree with getting rid of the 1-10 poll formate. I always liked this format so much more than the stupid "pick you favorite" format that CBS replaced it with. I love being able to rate all the players. Just getting to pick 1 favorite is a lot less fun.

Anyway, is it me, or does the graph for Episode 14 not match the results? For one thing, in the results they have Chet 2nd to last after Joel, but on the graph he's also above Jon and Alexis. Huh?

It's stupid if someone like Chad wins the S13 poll because he generates mildly positive indifference, and all the real favorites have their lovers and haters. The 1-10 ranking is meaningless for players like Mariano or Steph (Parvati tends that way too), because they are widely LOVED AND HATED, AND THE 1-10 FORMAT CANNOT DISTNGUISH THAT FROM INDIFFERENCE.

A format where people list all their faves is more meaningful, especially looking back on past seasons.

Personally, I really like the format we're in already...I loved the CBS.com poll, which is why it sucked they got rid of it, so I'm running it here. Plus, I really don't think "strategic" voting is really a big factor. And rating people that you are indifferent to reflects how sucks feels about that particular castaway, so it's fair game I think.

But we're done with Micronesia for now. My thoughts were to just do an all seasons poll, so I'd have a...

Why don't you do a simple "Top 5" poll for this season to see if that producers a different result than the rank on a scale of 1-10 format. That might be a better measure of true popularity, than the old 1-10 format which forces people to rate players they are indifferent to, mixes up most loved with mosr hated, and encourages the strategic voting down of players thought to be to popular.

People list their 5 top favorites:

Hi everyone, I have received permission from Anti to run a popularity poll, similar to the one run by me during Survivor Vanuatu. Since CBS.com has canned the traditional poll used from seasons 2-10, I thought we'd just do one here and see what sucks thinks of the survivors each week.
