That's exactly my problem with Brooke. She's very pretty and has a nice voice. When she performs on the piano or guitar She LOOKS like a sensitive 70's singer-songwriter (specifically, Carly Simon). And we've been TOLD she writes songs. But we've never actually heard anything she's written. A "songwriter" whose songs aren't good enough to be performed is kind of pointless.

She sounds really good here - better than on the show. if she ends up being a good writer and has something interesting to say musically, she might be really cool to listen to because her voice is pretty.

During the sappy would-be singalong of 1,2,3,4 on tour (would be, since nobody actually did sing along with her), my wife and I agreed: Brooke looks and acts like she ought to be teaching kindergarden. The best that I can say for her set is that people seemed to like her more than KKKristy.

Soooo was the show good??

I only went to the AI4 one. It was fun. Some lesbians and a 20 year old guy on a date tried to pick up my friend and I. Kinda flattering for an old chick. Oh, and I saw my true love Bo. That's all I got.

I thought about going this year, but Brooke is the only one of the season I loved ... but I have no lust for her ... so I passed.

Brooke was really excellent on the tour, I just got back and even though I loathed post-mental breakdown Brooke she was top notch. All 3 of her songs were great, I got video of "Let it Be" and "1234."

Apparently Brooke's hubby was born in Toronto. She was like "a lot of my favourite things come from Canada" and she told us that about Dave, then said was talking about Feist being her favourite and she's from Nova Scotia.

Her duet with Graham Nash was very good, and she looked just like she did at the time of "Let It Be." Obviously she's now over her nervous breakdown. It confirms what I often thought about her during her last 6 weeks on the show: she's a good singer who has a high-strung, insecure personality totally wrong for entering a singing COMPETITION.
