I've known lots of black girls in my life who weren't "ghetto trash" as you put it but they certainly didn't act as white bread as Vonzell.

Where does the Ashley come from? Is this some rehash of the "Carol Smith" thing? I'm constantly amazed at the pathetic "white" labeling Vonzell gets from SUCKsters for having a nice speaking voice and being from a middle class family with happily married parents. Anthony was pretty good at top 4 and should've made it just on that night. Vonzell was more consistent though.

She was alright. Didn't deserve top 3 though.

If I recall correctly 6th place went to Constantcrap, 5th place went to Scott and 4th place went to Anthony, do you think either of them deserved 3rd place?

Vonzell released an album and its called My Struggle, released in 2004 before auditioning in American Idol.

I remember Vonzell on AI4, she sang very well and she was a good performer. She was my favorite AI4 contestant.

I'm watching her old performances on YouTube and I forgot how I love her! I think she worked the hardest among all the contestants. She's charismatic and fun. She picked the best song choices (popular but suits her). All her performances were memorable (Best of My Love, Anyone Who Had a Heart, Chain of Fools, etc.).

She's like season 4's white Trenyce. <3
