Same here. Kate said at the post-rescue press conference that Aaron was 5 weeks old, which would mean she "gave birth" to him around December 7th (assuming the press conference was around January 9 or 10), roughly 11 weeks after the crash. A full term pregnancy runs about 38 weeks from the...

I agree that theoretically speaking, they could pull off her being unknowingly pregnant at the time of the crash and no one would really raise an eye. I'm much more interested in how everyone believes Kate's story about Aaron.

Assuming a fake conception date of 21 September (just before the crash), the fake due date would be 27 June 2005 (40 weeks). Lostpedia figures the actual conception date, or at least the one claimed by Juliet, to be around 24 October, which would put the actual due date around 31 July 2005. I'd say that as long as she gave birth sometime in July, no one would raise an eyebrow; obviously doctors would be able to tell the difference if they looked hard enough, but that's probably a risk...

The only other factor in Sun's delivery date would be the time rip around the Island possibly altering it, either by a time difference with the Island itself (it being one date on the Island, and a different in the Real World), or perhaps even a fetus specific time difference due to the transit (she could have been 3 months preggers when she got on the boat, and 2 or 4 months when she got to the Freighter).

That all seems about right. I doubt that anyone questioned Sun's pregnancy. It's definitely conceivable that they banged at the hotel before leaving, and then she was just a little late when delivering. Happens all the time, does it not? The bigger question to me is how everyone immediately ate up Kate's story about Aaron. Surely there would have had to be some sort of documentation when the Marshall grabbed her that she was preggers.

Lostpedia conjectures Sun's delivery date as July based on an on-island conception. The continuity quirk is not brought up and I don't recall any dialogue in Sun's episode addressing it.

I don't remember if it was RESCUE or the day they landed and had that press conference, but they were gone for 108 days before they were one of those two.

Which, for our frame of reference, puts rescue (I'm assuming that's what it was) at Saturday, January 8th, 2005??? That's if you don't count 9/22 as Day 1.

It's not that hard to say Jack ratted out his father and got him fired before he went to Australia, but all of that happened after he broke up with Sarah. Well, I think that pretty much solves it. Regardless of the other scores and crap like that, the primary focus of the newspaper (Sox/Yanks) indicates August 31, 2007, so I'm fine to roll with that until Darlton states otherwise.

Which means that Jack takes anywhere from 8-12 months to "hit rock bottom" (aka. his FF in TTLG), and then a minimum of, I'd say, another 8 months for them to get back to the island in time for S6? I dunno. I must be thinking way too far...
