I agree.

But I think that Jacob is the voice of the island and can manifest in many forms. Christian just seems to be his favorite persona. Christian Sheppard is dead. However, his tenure as a portal for Jacob to speak is not done.

I assume that Christian was in Jack's life for all those years. obviously, he made a few trips Down Under, but
he wasn't an absentee father or anything.

Could he be on the island and elsewhere simultaneously? I wouldn't rule it out.

Has anyone considered that we know absolutely NOTHING about Christian's backstory? We also know nothing about "Anthony Cooper" other than he is a con-man. Anthony Cooper may not even be his real name. I had this wild epiphany last night, that the two are actually brothers and we just haven't got to that part of the story yet. Perhaps they were separated at birth and never knew one another. One ended up being a "good" one, the other, a "bad" one....

I'm thinking that Jacob is a shape-shifter and can appear as anybody he wants at any given time.

But, that's probably as off-base as the rest of my theories have been. :-/

I do love Christian. Probably my fave Flashback character. Great character in his own right and tied to a crazy amount of the 815ers. My friend thinks he might just be the lynchpin to EVERYONE. Who's next to feature Christian in their back story?
