Susannah, the other daughter was NOT stillborn. She died when she was almost 2, and was named after his mother. Charles named his daughter Susannah as well.....

I am very sad that this has come to an end.

I will definitely be buying the DVD which I am sure will be released at some point.

Everything about it was top notch.

The coincidental dying on July 4th, the 50th anniversary of our Independence, was eerie.

By the way, Samuel Barnett is the actor who played Thomas Adams in later life, the son who was with John Adams at his death bed.

His other outstanding movie is THE HISTORY BOYS, and if...

Absolutely brilliant. What a masterpiece this series was. I definitely have a more profound respect for John Adams after this.

This has been an awesome mini-series. I never knew that Adams and Jefferson not only died on the same day, but they died on July 4. The characters' makeup was so realistic that Adams, Abigail, and son John Quincy actually looked as if they had aged in RL.

I also watched both one right after the other (Nanny Diaries was on a plane ride-I had nothing else to do). I did a double take realizing they played husband and wife in both stories.

The first two episodes are showing tonight. I just caught the first one, and it is FANTASTIC.

Paul Giamatti as John Adams.
Laura Linney as Abagail Adams.

Tom Hanks is the EP.

Based on the Pulitzer Prize winning book by David McCulloch.

Sundays at 9:00 PM on HBO.
