I was really hesitant to watch this for some reason. I had it sitting around for weeks and kept putting off because I didn't think I was in the right head space to really sit down and watch it. But when I finally did, I actually really liked it. Some of the acting wasn't the best but the plot kept me interested and it just LOOKS really nice. Pretty stylish, great light, decent-enough effects for a pilot, and Zoe's friend Lacy had a nice rack.

I really, really liked it. But it was about as unlike BSG as you can get. On it's own though I thought it was a strong pilot. It really reminds me of Terminator TSCC, slowish, thoughtful drama with sci-fi elements. And of course, there are some really interesting nuggets of mythology which apply to BSG.

I am excited for the show to start. I hope the audience is receptive to it.

I've read this is more the direction that the revamped and ridiculously named SyFy...

I liked the pilot but man it was weighty. Sister Atia was of course the best part.

While watching the final season webisodes, the annoying writer kept commenting on a BSG movie called "The Plan."

Apparently, it will be from the toaster's perspective about why they nuked the colonies.

This could be one fracking mega-transition to them day of yore on Caprica.

Anyhow, I bet it's the set up to the Adama Drama.

That promo will have to tide us over for a while, because the show itself isn't premiering until 2010.

Fortunately the final episodes of BSG begin airing in January, and there is a new 10-part webisode series that has just begun.

This show looks really interesting, but I just don't see how it can succeed. Spinoffs are always tricky, and this one is basically a soap opera with sci-fi trappings. Not a recipe for big ratings.

But I will certainly be tuning in regardless.

Sweet! This will help ease the pain of losing BSG. I also appreciate that they're doing something fairly different from BSG in this show and not pulling a Stargate with its formulaic clones.
