Do any of you know how television works? In order for Survivor to have two seasons per year, CBS can only order half-seasons (13 episodes, 14 at most). Nowadays, shows can be ordered in full seasons (usually around 23-24 episodes), or half-seasons. There is no such thing as a 16-episode season of any show. American Idol is probably the only exception, as FOX milks out as many episodes as possible because they know viewers won't lose interest with 2+ episodes per week.

I think thats why they had f2 instead of f3.

No, James being medivaced is why they went to a F2.

The early boots really made no difference because they were planning on have two rounds where there would be double boots.

On to topic:

Most regular tv shows have 22 episodes per season. And survivor doesn't even have that many. I'd rather Survivor adapt a BigBrother type platform at some point. So much is lost in editing and we are limited to only an edgic build up to winner and runner up!

I'd fork over money to watch bts survivor if cbs goes that route.

I wouldnt mind having 2 episodes a week. Say a monday night episode where they have the reward challenge, and then the hook at the end is who wins immunity. Maybe the monday night episode could just be a half hour. Then the thursday night episode could be all the plotting and scheming around who gets voted out.

This would accomplish a few things:

1. More episodes of survivor.
2. They could spend more time showing us the survivors, their personalities, camp life,...

The one time I wouldn't mind them doing a double boot is if they did 3 tribes. That way, 1 tribe could win Immunity and send the other 2 to Tribal Council.
