We see these swimming around ours every once in awhile. There's supposedly a fairly large population of them in the Bay.

And yeah, Tres...what TC said. Why the hell not blog in a thread. Everybody else does.

I'm not sure when we are moving. As any halfway decent wife would, Foo gets to deal with my employer and the moving company with that stuff. I refused to let them come pack us up until we had closed on this house. I wouldn't even let them come do the "home survey" because I didn't need the added stress of having our stuff parked in a van somewhere. She and the dogs can't come up until the fence is installed, and I imagine that will take a few weeks to arrange.

Your little workshop is a "bonus" room. Like something for nothing.

If any of the bathrooms are from the original house, check the inside of the toilet tank to see if there is a manufacturing date stamped there. If so, that will give you a pretty good idea of when the house was built.

When are you actually moving?

Which of your clan members are going to be living there?

I don't know what kind of fish are in there. The neighbours all fish and assure me that they catch plenty.

It is a mid 50s to early 60s block ranch. No one seems to know for sure when the house was built. The land records show it being sold by the developer in the early 50s and then sold by those folks in the early 70s. A house went on at some point in that spread.

The folks who bought it in the 70s knocked out a back wall and expanded it significantly at some point...

What to do? Do I buy the stinky house and hope the stink goes away? Do I cover the stench by shoving Eury's rotting corpse in my crawl space? Do I look for a non stinky house?

I know that the house flooded about 2 inches last year; some neighbours had more than 2 feet but this house sits up a bit. No flooding between 1968 and 2007.

There is new flooring through out, new roof, new kitchen. Yet it stinks. I think the owners have pets, but this has to be more...
