People are getting burned out on it?

After 7 years, they're simply running out of decent people?

I know I've stopped watching it entirely this season (although part of that is due to BB being on at the same time as it).

Regardless, it will probably stay as the top show for at least another season or two. They are hemoragging huge numbers each season though.

I have a feeling DWTS and AI are going to peter out very quickly. I see their ratings declining exponentially over the next could of years, whereas those of TAR and Survivor will decline too, but at a steady rate. And yeah, I think that once Survivor has been gone for a while, there's a good chance it could come back some random TV season when CBS has no good pilots.

Survivor holds a place in history, and even if its cancelled, we Survivor fans are just as hardcore as Star Trek nerds and it will be let back on, It will outlast all the other shows,even TAR,AI and Dancing with the stars

I would be pissed if survivor changed hosts.

As long as the show scores more seasons than American Idol ill be satisfied. At this point I see that happening.

very true. actual actors have the power to band together and demand more money (ala friends, seinfeld, desperate housewives, greys anatomy etc...) but on a game reality show, they actually fight to be the one who gets paid the most. its entertaining and cost-effective. survivor will be around for at least 6 more seaons

I would think Survivor would be pretty expensive, given the costs of the location, flying people out there, building sets and challenges, and paying Probst.

This show isn't going anywhere until it gets Pirate Master-esque ratings. No chance in hell CBS is killing a show that continues to win its timeslot every week, continues to be in the top 15, even though its in its 16th season/8th year. Even if it goes down to say Big Brother level ratings, they'd still almost certainly keep it around since the expenses are minimal compared to any traditional sitcom/drama. I could see this show still on the air 10 years from now, even if both...

Probably not as much as the rest of you guys here do. There're still eight seasons I haven't seen and there are two more on the way. I only joined Sucks late 2007 as well.
