Well Ethan was completely powerless when he came to Mogo Mogo. He didn't pose any sort of threat to Lex at that point, so there was no reason to get rid of him in a hurry. But as to why Jerri was voted out instead of him, I have no idea. You'd have to ask Lex (or maybe more importantly, Kathy).

Another question (before I study for the final) is.. even though Ethan and Lex were close and on similiar tribe, why didn't Lex keep him as a muscle and a shield to be first bootee? Why Jerri of all people? They even sent her to do final round in bow and arrow competition though Lex was clearly superior to Jerri and even had Jerri swim first before anybody else. That is why I believes that Jenna leaving the game is actually the gradual downfall of Mogo Mogo because she would not...

I would think so. The problem with Rob and Lex is that they are just two very similar, very competitive people. They were bound to run up against each other in All-Stars. When I wrote my Hawaii story back in 2002 (two years before All-Stars) I predicted the exact same thing would happen. There was just bound to be conflict between the two of them.

My thoughts exact. Thanks for confirming this.

I doubt he would have been more successful in post-ASS, but he trulys was the King of the island in ASS. Even Robfather was playing oddly similiar game with clear advantage that his tribe can actually win challenge. I still believes that, had Rob and Lex switch place, that Rob would STILL vote out Richard first and possibly Colby second.

Lex is like a cult leader. When he's on the island, he's in charge. Colby and Richard don't have the widespread ties to the Survivor community that he does. They didn't have a chance against him in All-Stars.

Yeah I doubt Jenna would have gone anywhere. She was the only former winner who probably had a chance. I don't think I've ever heard a single Survivor say anything bad about her, they all seem to love her. Christy misleading editing notwithstanding.

That sounds like entitlement issue to me.

I remember Jenna M said that she would have last a lot longer if she didn't quit. I assume that Lex would have kept her over Ethan, Colby, Richard and possibly Jerri.

Without knowing him, I think Lex played ASS to prove he was The.Best.Ever. I think that's why he voted out Hatch, Colby and Ethan. I think that's also why he voted for Amber. Even winning ASS, Amber couldn't really claim to be the best but Rob could have and would have.

My guess is that he still held a grudge over the fact that a fellow alpha male beat him in Africa. I think it bugged the shit out of him that he lost to a player who was so less dominant than he was. And I think he vowed that in All-Stars, it wasn't going to happen again. That has always been my take on it. I think he just overcompensated.

Yeah, he went after Richard/Colby/Ethan because he viewed them as being big threats to him in the post merge end game situation. However...he failed to see that had he kept all three of them (or even just Colby/Ethan) instead of Shii Ann/Jerri, he probably has a much better chance of not being down 6-3 at the merge.

Um, Lex isn't just some random person I met on the street. He and I went to the same school and his dad was my French teacher. I was corresponding with him before Africa even aired. I have even met his wife. And even if I didn't know Lex in real life, you can verify my observations with pretty much any Survivor alumnus out there. Lex is one of the most popular and well-liked Survivor alums of them all. This has been very well documented before.

I don't think Lex has entitlement issues at all. Lex "in Survivor" and Lex "out of Survivor" are two totally different people. The reason people are so (seemingly) reluctant to speak out against him isn't because they are scared of him, it is because the Lex on All-Stars isn't what he is like in real life. In real life he is the nicest guy you could ever meet. Speaking out against Lex would be like speaking out against Colleen.

Do you feel that would make Lex to develop a serious entitlement issue later on?

The reason I am asking is because that is what kind of impression I am getting from him. I always wonder why so many Survivor alumnis are so reluctant to speak out against him. He has to be well-connected to various degrees. After all, it was his idea to vote out guys in ASS>

If all stars was not all stars, but instead the first time the castaways played, how would your opinions of the castaways change without knowing them before on a previous season..

In example...Amber..Loved her in australia...But if all stars was the first time she appeared on our screens i would hate her..same goes with jenna lewis.
