Saw it yesterday and I just wanted to say the whole thing is enchanting. Amazing production values, especially notable are the killer opening and the "hey, now we're all Nazis!" scene. You almost forget you're watching a stage show - it's that perty all around. If you like musical theatre this is a must see. I think so highly of it I just had to share a couple of thoughts.

I wondered the same thing- if the young guy was someone that Simon recently met in Toronto.
But from another article it sounded like the young guy was Simon's (longtime) boyfriend - not a recent aquaintance.

We mentioned a few days ago that long time Andrew Lloyd Webber associate Simon Lee, who was also one the judges on the Canuck reality show How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria, was arrested on Sunday for assault and forced imprisonment.

He pulled a Boy George and attempted to trap some dude in...

Coming out of sucks retirement to shockingly report that according to the CBC, conspicuously absent judge Simon Lee was arrested in Toronto on Sunday for assault & forcible confinement. The crime allegedly took place in a hotel room. No other details other than bail was made & the date of his next hearing has been set. Absent for personal reasons indeed. That's an understatement!

YAY!!! I was soooo excited last night when they said her name. I had fingers, toes and eyes crossed but was sure I would hear "Janna". When he said "Elicia" I let out a yelp so loud, I am sure Toronto heard me all the way from Fredericton.

I am so happy for her and now I want to go to Toronto to see the musical.

I haven't watched yet as I've just gotten home from work. As I read along with the increasing excitement I knew!! I'm so happy it was Elicia. I'll watch in the morning.
I agree that the recap last night really did show Elicia was the best choice.

I was tempted many times but I resisted. I can't believe she won!! That's amazing. I never get it right, and now that's 2 in a row. Of course, Lord Andrew spoiled for me who won the British version...I'm in the process of downloading the entire season, but now I know who won, so I probably won't watch.

I think last night is the night that Elicia took it. I think she was very much the underdog going into last night but she (to me) outshined Janna.
