They shot alot of the pilot on the same lot as Deadwood, W. Earl Brown said it was really weird and sad to be shooting there. He said some of the old storefronts were still standing and it was surreal.

I hope this show makes it, I like the premise.

Remember this guy from Oz? Chuck Zito (used to be on Stern's show once in a while) he is/was a Nomad's boss.
The Nomad's can float, and don't really have a fixed regional chapter. They are the muscle for the Hell's Angels. They come looking for you.... shoot yourself. Seriously.

I wonder why they didn't cast Chuck. Maybe HBO deliberately doesn't want the bad press of paying real 1%er bikers salaries???

It's funny that Barger was listed as being on board in the first article then 2 weeks later he's got his lawsuit going. He won't win.

I believe Beyond The Law was an HBO project too. That was a pretty good movie. This show has a chance of being badass if they don't fuck it up.

The problem with being a biker's old lady is the rituals... like how some chapters have been known/rumored to share one of their "communal women" and all of them then cum on a new initiates first full member's back patch. Which is made worse by the fact you can't wash your backpatch.

Usually the chapter respects someone who is a member having a personal "old lady", sometimes no and she becomes a shared use receptical.

When is this set to premiere? Sounds interesting.

I knew a couple of Angels back in the day & they always spooked the shit outta me. One pursued me to be his "old lady" but as far as he got was to get me on the back of his chopper for a ride or two. They could be sweet one minute then flashed knives & guns menacingly the next.

and Sonny Barger. Barger is an actual biker and has been enlisted to no doubt add realism to the project.

Sonny barger basically wrote the goddamn rule book for the Hell's Angels. Founded the Oakland chapter and was the brains behind the informal structure and disciplinary apparatus. It's like saying Al Capone was a common criminal.
