I watched the Firefly DVD's in order this summer and concluded with Serenity.

The series I absolutely adored. But the tone of the movie was off, at least in the first half. None of the lightheartedness that Firefly had. I wound up liking it, but it was awfully dark.

I never could get over it when Joss used this guy in Buffy. It ruined me for Serenity.
