Well thus ends one of the most disturbing series I think I have ever seen. Again my face is burning hot and I can't distinguish if its from shame, anger or both

I frequently find myself at odds with how I feel about this "volunteer" army... I understand their need to join but I am never quite sure why they feel that this is their only option. Is this military modern? I think its clear its not.. from its technology to its strategy I see nothing modern about our warriors...

Papa we finally can resume our love... I truly am angry and embarrassed. There is not one ounce of fucking logic or sense being displayed at any time and any one who seems to possess that ability are quickly reprimanded as if they are ones committing the crime..

I do think this is one tragedy that will surmount all others for the rest of history and once again is starting me to rethink Nixon as "fun crazy" and an amateur.

I like the fact that this series doesn't glorify a character just because he/she is in the military. And despite some of the jackass personalities on display from the soldiers themselves, I find myself angered with and embarrassed by the government (who isn't even depicted on this show) who put those men over there.

This episode made me so sad.
Sad that these young men are trained to be killers at any expense.
Sad that they shouldn't have been there.
Sad that none of it was fair.

I just don't understand who the "enemy" is here. I don't think the soldiers knew either and still don't.

Well if this doesn't validate to me the rationale behind members of the Bush administration being brought up on War Crime charges nothing does.

What an intense condemnation of the entire operation in Iraq and well the antiquated and shameful way our Military is run and administered. It is crime to send those soldiers into any situation (regardless of the validity) with the equipment, communication and inadequate training and leadership. This is shameful on an entirely different...

I had to watch this again because one viewing isn't enough to fully comprehend the depth of this show.. much of the dialogue and characters are often lost to simply I am so busy reacting and responding in my head to take it all in.

And yet I still feel almost as dead as the eyes on Twombly.... I just finished reading Phillip Sands book on Torture.. watching the Congessional hearings and Bill Moyers almost weekly devotions to the issue and I still cannot fully understand how or...

Very interesting and compelling show...but I have to ask: Why are the platoon leaders portrayed as such incompetent boobs? I sure hope this is fiction, as I cannot imagine we could be successful with such arrogant, egotistical idiots as these in command. Their only concern seems to be adherance to grooming standards.

I think this show is incredible. The fact that Reyes is playing himself blows me away.
I like that it's no bullshit, just shows you the day to day stuff that happened. It's about as real as it gets considering the source material.

I've only seen the first episode of this, so I'll reserve my opinions. Props to "Fruity Rudy." He's apparently playing himself. Just the kind of thing I'd expect from Simon and Burns.

this has to be the most unsettling series I have ever seen... I know few watched the Bocchco series on F/X but that was a walk in the park compared to this.. the constant state of anxiety I feel watching has to parallel the actual state these men suffer from on a daily basis.

I look to see the clear youth leading youth and keep thinking of the "blind leading the blind" and wonder how BOYS can be men in a situation where there are no men to model.
