X to what nomi said, for such a fun season it was a totally underwhelming finale. I called Juli winning, but was pulling for Leigh. And it was nothing without Lui there.

Project Runway Canada was 10x better overall.

I am giving you a big red x to most of your post Level 5. Love Leigh and I really liked his collection artistically, but how do the judges think kilts are ever going to sell in the real world?

Meh, a fairly underwhelming finale, as expected. It was disappointing that the runway shows were all edited together with stock music rather than the American/Canadian way of showing them with the designer's music choices, which really do affect the way the collections are received. Anyway, I ended up agreeing with the judges decision - I would have wanted Leigh to win if it was a personality contest, and some of his pieces were really good but I didn't like all the weird distracting...

as opposed to the other three, who were soooooooooooooooo diverse in their collections????

the difference is that Lui's would have been STUNNING.

The best part of the finale for me was the male model casting session.
Topless gorgeous males models. What's not to like?

The runway show? Well, I think each collection had some beautiful pieces, but I kept wondering how fantastic Lui's collection would have been.

I was really unimpressed with Petrova all season, but I thought her collection was fun. I wouldn't hate it if she won.

Leigh's one balerina skirt with the tooling that went on for miles was awesome. Color me UN-surprised that he's sending a man in a kilt down the runway though. Perverted homo. Why are the designers on foreign seasons allowed to do their final collection with menswear?

I just meant that if your job is in fashion and you're an aspiring fashion designer, shouldn't you be checking out anything and everything that the competition has to offer, including bridal? Unless Lui has lived under a rock all his life (and yes, I get he is from a foreign culture, but they have weddings too, right?) then he should have had at least some idea of what to expect in a challenge like this. Petrova- I guess we know why they wanted her back on the show and in the finale now, her dad was a famous designer.

I don't know about the Australian version, but you'd never be allowed out to go "buy a magazine or something" on the US version. They're barely allowed out of their rooms. I doubt this version is much different. Remember what's-his-name getting eliminated for having some kind of books in his luggage?

Lui wasn't just an awesome designer, he was cool, and very humble. It was a nice change from the usual delusional contestants on these shows.
