I woke up this morning and it was still sort of dark and I saw movement along the base of one of my walls. I thought it was a mouse and turned on the light and it was a giant cockroach. Woke me up faster than coffee ever does. The damn thing shrugged off 3 or 4 hits with my shoe and kept going. I finally used a broom to push it onto, and off of, my balcony...

I spent the day helping Mr Pearl hide his still in the woods cause old man Boudreaux down the road a piece said the revenuers was a coming. We worked up a fair bit of a sweat and all for knot cause them demmed revs never did come round. Mr Pearl is madder than a one legged waitress working at the I HOP let me tell you what.

brought medicine, noodley soups, and liquids to my patient, the now gallbladderless miss dmb. i'm fucking beat.
