AA meetings replace the addiction of alcohol. I've never met a recovering alcoholic that wasn't addicted to AA meetings.

My father, both brothers, and over a dozen other family members are AA members, or were when they were alive, and I can say that the addiction to the meetings fades over time. It may take 10 years, it definitely takes at least 5 until the addiction to booze fades and they get past it and on to other aspects of their lives. But even if...
