Labor Day is no fun if you're a teacher and school begins the day AFTER Labor Day. Enjoy a beer and hot dog for me, I'll be in my classroom shlepping piles of books and doing lesson planning.

I don't acknowledge Labor Day at all, it's the most worthless National Holiday, by far. So what if you work, everyfuckingbody works. It's like have a walking upright holiday.

i'm kinda iffy on this. i don't like monday holidays either but then if i think about it i can do stuff on sunday night that i don't usually do. i prefer friday holidays because thursday night is funner.

I HATE it being on a Monday.

Sunday night we're going out with friends for sushi and a movie, but then Monday it's a damn beach party. Grrr.

Wouldn't it be better to have a Friday off instead of a Monday? And why bother having a party ON Labor Day? Isn't it better to have one on Saturday or Sunday?

I'm going into my bomb shelter for the weekend with my new book and not coming out. DOWN WITH LABOR DAY.
