Not to go all redneck, but if you have a WalMart near you, they are having a "Rollback Clearance" sale on their HDTVs this week. I stopped by one to pick up a pack of blank DVDs, and I saw a 42" for $698.

Ha! I actually bought an HDTV for the Olympics. I can get local CBS in HD using rabbit ears and will probably tune in every few minutes or so to see the improved picture. I'll be recording other things in HD from the cable DVR though.
