well jeff asks alot of questions that we dont see, so chances are the questions we saw seemed less of the focus in the overall questioning. we simply see the questions that are most relevant for us. so the tone of the conversation looks different then it was originally.

also in a clip on the cbs website, sugar and ace talk about how the others could have gone through her bag. she was aware of that possibility before tc.

A few past survivors have posted that Probst gets no updates on what's happening at the camps. But it is pretty obvious that he does get fed important information by the producers

Jeff has said in several interviews that the other producers do give him some basic info on what has happened at camp. So he definitely goes in to TC with a bit of an idea of how people are voting.
