I think Kenny at least gets to the finals because Jeff said he was rooting for him pre-game. If he got eliminated for being arrogant or something I don't think Jeff would like him

Agreed, sammy. This is why I'm hoping for a female F3 -- it'll make it more interesting.

As far as edits, I'd say Kenny and Sugar have the winning edits, with Crystal a possibility.

Matty, IMO, has a mix of the Cook Islands Ozzy and Exile Island Shane edits. He's a "necessity" and a "threat" (ala Ozzy), and most of his edit has been about his girlfriend (ala Shane and BOSTONBOSTONBOSTON OMG BOSTON!!!).

The only way we'll have a female winner is if it's an all female finale. I honestly can't see any of the females beating any of the males at this time.

I'd say the edit points to a Kenny win, or maybe Sugar. It could be similar to Amazon (as SJ accurately describes it), where it's all about how Kenny seemed to have the game won, but plays a little too hard and ultimately loses to the innocent little girl who knew nothing about the game but gradually figures it out.

Susie has completely disappeared since her flip.
Crystal is Kenny's loyal pawn.
Matty is the nice guy who plays for the 'experience' and...

I just can't see Crystal getting a winning edit. She's shown as incompetent at challenges, not masterminding any of the strategy, and being way too in your face and aggressive ("Eat yo rice", anyone?)

Susie's arc has been solely the big switch in alliances. She's been completely useless in challenges, and is HATED by Onions. No chance they vote for her over any of the others.

Yeah, it's one of those things that illustrates the human ability to overcomplicate things.

I guess being an indie filmmaker and working in post production, my view is that it would take an amazingly talented editing crew about 6 months to construct edits based on personality with a slant towards the winner. Rather, they have a bunch of stories to tell and without giving away the winner, there will still be instances where the winner is shown in a positive light.

I agree that her Olympic background will come into play in the later episodes, one way or another. It has been shoved in our faces even before the season started. It still hasn't been mentioned in any of the episodes from 2 onwards. She did not even have a Gary like story-arc of being scrutinized for being a pre-school teacher.

Granted, she sucked so much no one would even doubt she's just a muscular kid teacher!

Something interesting to note (not sure if it was mentioned) is that in the first episode Crystal has the first confessional saying that she will "use her blazing speed to win the hell out of this game". This could be either

a) an indication that she wins, or
b) an ironic statement included by the producers to show how she loses (since we know that Crystal has NOT [lol] used her blazing speed, the jurors would not vote for her to win due to her poor challenge...

I'm leaning towards a Kenny win. His character/story has been well developed without coming across as over the top overbearing like most of the cast members.

I find Kenny's and Matty's edit is perplexing. We've seen none of their strategic talk with each other but they've been on the same tribe 90% of the time. We see Matty tell Ace he wants Kenny in their alliance but we never see Kenny's take/input in their alliance. What we do get is them working well...

I don't know if I see Sugar's edit as strongly as others do. It seems that she is just involved in most of the major points in the story rather than trying to manipulate the story to end up with her winning.

Here are the parts of the story Sugar has been included (and highlighted) in:
- Going to Exile Island numerous times and finding the idol (which in turn results in more facetime, ESPECIALLY if she's in the end game)
- Being the swing vote in the Ace boot...

Basically I chose Bort from that Itchy and Scratch land Simpsons episode (they have Bort licence plates but no Bart ones) and duplicated it, cos I am that rad.

It's about that time. There really haven't been too many seasons where you couldn't at least make an educated guess as to the winner of Survivor. This season is a little different because of the twists and how they've influenced Fang going from surefire extinction to possible control of the game.
