One of the most deserving F2s ever on HK...they both have the talents and traits to take them far. I had liked Danny earlier, but the past couple weeks had begun to root more for Paula. Either way, though...I knew I would be pleased no matter who won.

I had Danny picked from the beginning. His to lose.
Danny had a confidence and quiet swagger about him and I bet he reminded Gordon of himself at that age. You gotta believe Gordon liked the cut of his jib from the get-go and eased his path to the final.

I was happy to see Danny win, too. It was nice to see him so happy and emotional about it. Paula acted with class, too.

If I remember previous posts correctly, this season was taped quite awhile ago. Do they hold the winner's head chef position open for him for all that time? If not, how do they prevent the winner from being revealed by someone going to Atlantic City and visiting the Borgata (sp?) and asking who the head chef is?

YAY for Danny, and congratulations to him. I liked him from ep 1, but would have been happy for either finalist to have won.

Paula showed class in her acknowledgement that being a finalist opens doors for her. I think she'll land on her feet, quite likely in a more elegant establishment than one located in Atlantic City.

Yeah, Danny was finished, while they showed Paula's finishing up by getting out her last two entreés. Entreés? I too wanted to see the desserts go out.

I thought I saw Bonnie when they cut to the applauding "Past Winners". Could be my eyes.

I've noticed the editing for a few reality shows seem to taken a turn toward blatant misdirection. I mean they always tried to keep the suspense up by adding things here and there but it's getting ridiculous at this point. The more they just try to fool the audience and don't make the decision make sense the less interested I become. This one wasn't as bad as some have become but it still seemed pretty much like Paula would win. [/soapbox]

Why did they make such a big deal about desserts, then shut down the service without getting to them? At least they never showed a single dessert being ordered or going out. I kept waiting for Lacey to fail epically on that station, but it never happened...

Big indifference about the finale.

Something I've noticed on HK - why do all the contestants look like they haven't had a shower for a week? Do they slather grease on all of them before the taping? Seriously, would you eat anything Paula or Danny cook for you if you saw them first?
