Ohhhhh, what about the cop in Phoenix that got burned in a car accident while he was on duty & it fried his face off & most of his fingers. He looks like a horror movie character but he's a great homicide detective. I love to see him with his sweet, loving family.

I watch it over and over, too.

The one that gets me is the taxi driver that was killed on his very last shift and he left behind his girlfriend who was pregnant with their child.
That one is just so fucking horrible.

Oh, yeah really! That was a sick one. He had those bodies up in the attic crawl space hidden so well I didn't think they'd be able to get to them without demolishing the house.

I adore some of those old school detectives. Schillasi & that black chick with the weave, nails & attitude.

Poor dood's family had no real clue what went on. Only that he was robbed. Was she remorseful? Shit no, she got a Thanksgiving dinner without carrot cake.

They're in Miami tonight, and the victim was so messed up the cops were even kind of shocked. Remember people - don't get drunk, sneak out of your own birthday party, hit the ATM in the middle of the night and go try to buy coke! That's like the fiftieth time that's happened on this show.

The more brutal Lester Street Murders episode here in Memphis was actually MORE gruesome than the show actually focused on. Hearing the story unfold on the news here in Memphis back during the time as it happened and watching The First 48's rendition were like two totally different things.

This ep was either the first or second season but the most depressing one I ever saw was a murder in Miami where a five year old boy saw the killing and his family wouldn't let him talk to the police for fear of retaliation. That is no way for a child to live, my heart just bleeds for those ghetto kids who are subject to this shit every day.

It's fucking impossible to find a coherent episode guide for this show. My cable guide shows 2 new eps this week, but according to the mess that is the A&E website, one of them (the 8 pmer) is from last season. Yet another site shows one of the After The First 48 eps as having replaced the 8 pmer in the regular schedule last season, so I'm guessing maybe they're just burning one off before the regular season 9 ep at 9 pm.
