I understand him not wanting to hit up his wife for money. But how about having her around for the final or having her donate something for a fundraiser (like a Speed script). How about hitting up her friends? This is for chariety after all. The fact that he wouldn't committ to the final got him canned (and Trump wanting a cat fight at the end). He talks about being blue collar like he's a $10 an hour factory worker. He has a TV show and a magazine and he's married to Sandra...
