come on... it was pretty obvious who will NOT be the winner since day 1. Noorul, the bearded guy, Loraine, Phillip, the cuddly funny guy, Mona were all part of that group. you can just tell from the way people come across.

so it was pretty easy to see who could be the possible winner.

i haven't posted much here either, but yea, was following it all along - Deb was the one i wanted to win because she was just a huge bitch who knew her shit well, but oh well - yasmina was an obvious winner too.

plastic kate hate. she was way too smiley for me.

i am constantly amazed at how this show holds my attention season after season, while the trump version is laughable.

I just finished up season 5 and I'm sort of surprised by some of the reaction here. I had Yasmina pegged as the winner (or likely finalist) from fairly early on.

One thing I do have to say, is I hate Ben more than I've ever hated any Apprentice candidate in any season Uk or US. He's a fat, moronic midget and I'd like to watch him slowly bleed out on a large pile of acidic salt.

I've been kind of banging through the UK series and I'm sad to be caught...

They not only hide the winner most of the time, they make them seem incompetent.

But this is how real life works, though - you get the most incompetent people in management pretty much all the time! The paradox of shows like The Apprentice is that genuine dynamic entrepreneurs make very lousy ass-kissing management lackeys because they tend to follow orders poorly due to their independence and way of thinking. And yet this is exactly the kind of person...

Damn I finally watched the finale and I'm sad Kategoddess didn't win.

It was a great 12th episode compared to marketing lame perfume from the previous season. <3

I think the UK fucks up the whole "don't make the winner obvious in the edit" classic Mark Burnett tip. They not only hide the winner most of the time, they make them seem incompetent.

I mean Christ, last season they had the dude who couldnt spell and lied up and down on his CV and then we didnt really see him most of the show. This season they have this invisibitch who was rarely highlighted all season long.

As for their final task, while Kate's was cute and all -- why limit your market so much? As if the high price doesn't already limit the market. It's nothing that anyone but a couple would buy. And how often is that why someone buys chocolates? And not just that, I also thought it was a big mistake to mark them "his" and "hers" because even there,...

I disagree, CP. I thought Yasmina was, as shown, to have a better grasp of the marketing and pricing side, with good reasons for targeting what she was targeting. The taste can be fixed. It was not an issue. Kate's price on the other hand could not be adjusted because she used expensive ingredients to make the chocolate taste as well as it did. That was why the price actually rose during the task. It was the soap situation all over again.

Well it's been a day since the finale so I don't think we need to worry about spoilers.

Both did fine but big BOO to the winner. I'm sorry but she was just... there. I never found her all that interesting or dynamic a contestant. In the final task Kate did a better job and had the better product. Pricing was the problem but that's easier to fix than taste and a rather generic idea. Wacky flavours?

Yasmina is not a bad winner, certainly one of the better...

I loved that final task and thought both members did great. I thought Kate was slightly better, but I was fine with either winning. I loved that Kate did not pick Philip for her team.
