Speaking of rookies, Brawn GP is no more. It has ceased to exist. It is an ex-team. Mercedes has bought a 70% share of the team and it will be called Mercedes Grand Prix next year.

Brawn came in and went out as champions in 1 year. Has that ever been done before?

I finally got around to watching the race -- NFL takes priority when the championship's been decided -- and loved it.

Agreeance on the love for Abu Dhabi -- sleek and modern. How does the big straightaway compare the main straightaway at Indy? Plus that little tunnel is sooooo kewt.

Malaysia's always been a little meh for me, but since I've been there, kind of a fave.

The new tracks at Valencia and Bahrain suck like Bernie after a day spent running...

Stirling Moss is the best driver never to win a championship by far. I'd rate him higher than Hill, just like I'd rate Alesi or Berger higher than Damon Hill.

Kobayashi could actually be the first real Japanese racer with any chance at a championship.

I liked the track too. Much better than Dubai. Not very flowing though. A bit Mickey Mouse. Feels more like a fancy street circuit. No memorable or epic corners. Still better than most new tracks.

I wanted so much to hate Abu Dhabi ( and that Ferrari-land pavilion ), but that is one awesome course. REALLY awesome. The only thing missing, other than trees and stuff, were any changes in elevation. Watching at the Glen really gave a great appreciation of the up and down of a good natural circuit. Bummer is the lack of pit babe skin at these venues...

I was expecting a dicey race. Too bad about Lewis and he and Vettel seemed pretty well matched. I liked Webber's post-race...

Abu Dhabi is surprising good for a new track. Room to pass and some challenging corners. I'd prefer gravel in the run off areas though. You fuck up you're out kind of thing.
It was all very pretty and spacey looking. Kind of sterile and clean. But it was an enjoyable race. Hamilton out, Vettel winning and some action on and off.
Next year looks promising for Toyota with Kobayashi.
Now it's wait and see who ends up where. I wouldn't be surprised of Kimi...

It's a good thing. Todt is a great manager of people and problems. He didn't earn the nickname Napoleon for nothing... well for being a French midget... but for being a great leader as well.

I forgot what passing was like. Hopefully next season, without KERS ( Sorry, Sir Frank ) we'll see more.

Kobayashi held his own, but was all over the track blocking. Lots of dangerous moves in the race.

I agree about Ross Brawn. He seemed tuned into things nobody else can see. All those years Honda was brutal with some supposed good minds there. Jenson can thank Ross since he really is only an average driver with a good car.
I really wanted Rubens to do well. He really doesn't have much luck. But more than poor Heidfeld. Running out of gas? come on.

Jenson did drive a good race. I've never seen him so aggressive. He always has been too laid back and waiting things...

Good race. Jensen raced strong. Opening laps were crazy. The Brawn car fell off as the others caught up to their technology. Jensen did get lazy in the middle of the season, but he deserves it even if it wasn't exciting.

What this really proves is that Ross Brawn deserves his seat with the all-time great Formula One minds.

Jenson the champ... huh. It won't happen again. I don't know whose dad is more annoying either. Button or Hamilton? Is Jenson named after the car? I like to think so anyway.

The beginning was action packed. Really entertaining. Accidents galore, drivers fighting, and a flaming fuel hose. Good stuff.
And a deserved win by Webber.

Jensen won't be winning again. It was a lucky year for Brawn and Jensen is very average. It's hilarious that he thinks he's some British F1 playboy.

I hope Kimi goes to McLaren because I don't see him and Hamilton being friends at all. Could be great. I hope he doesn't go to rally yet.

As much as my vision is clouded by the possibility of another Brit champion, I hope Jensen goes away after this. He was king of the world with the Brawn advantage and is a whiny brat backing into the championship.

I just hope Vettel doesn't detonate his remaining engine!

I think the only team potentially with KERS next year is Williams. Don't they have a crazy flywheel-based system?
