Yeah it was filled up at the end of April this year. The lady at Lake Delton Watersports said they finished fixing the dam and all of that last fall then they filled the lake a couple of months ago. The water was warmer than I expected too...we fell off the wave runner once and landed in the drink. But boy was that fun!

So I take it that Lake Delton is back to normal now.

Last time we were there Lake Delton was gone, gone, gone.

Ok so Diane and I went up to Wisconsin Dells today for a night...we spent the whole day having fun: Go Karts, rented a wave runner and went out on Lake Delton for an hour, went parasailing, went swimming back at the hotel, had a fantastic dinner at a Japanese steakhouse and just got back from the Ho-Chunk casino where I played 4 different 25cent slot machines and won $120 (Diane lost $40). Tomorrow we're spending the day at a waterpark before heading home tomorrow evening.

If this was Fran of 1996, the reason it wasn't bad is that it hit NC instead of SC. It was pretty horrible up here.

Meh...I just checked. Low to mid 70's for the next ten days. No 80's...call me a masochist but I WANT HOT WEATHER!!!

Today we went back to HHI for the Marriott thingy. It was soooooo tempting...they have so many great properties and the quality is top notch...but we stuck to the plan and said thanks but no thanks. We spent almost 2 hours with the guy, mainly because we were having fun touring the property. After that we found a public beach at the end of the road the Marriott was on and went to it for half an hour. Incredibly windy, I'd estimate 30 to 35 mph, but it was warm and the water was even...

I was in Nantucket with Hurricane Fran. I was living with my sis and her husband who just had my niece. I had to go outside to smoke. If you've never smoked under an umbrella in the middle of a hurricane, you re totally missing out.

I've been waiting for this vacation since December and its finally here! My wife and I are on the road now, headed for Savannah, Georgia. We made it as far as Chattanooga, TN last night and we should be in Savannah by late this afternoon. This is our first east coast trip in 5 years, but so far everything I've seen looks exactly like it did in 2004 except that some of the highways have been expanded (and that's a good thing).
