I caught this today during a marathon. Agree, the guy is quite an asshole. Too much scripted stuff. And when they dropped the sweet 16 cake, I was like, why wouldn't they have an elevator, or a dumb waiter? Then the next scene, they stick a cake into a dumb waiter. It's just such a mess. A mess stuffed with assholes.

the rude bride and the wedding cake fiasco was so scripted and fake, i deleted the show off my DVR. All those people in the kitchen and no one stopped her. then the boss comes in and says he only turned his back for a second, yet you see how much damaged she's done to the cake. That had to be about 20minutes worth of destruction she created on that cake. FAKE! FAKE1 FAKE!

I've enjoyed watching this show so far, but yeah, Ace of Cakes is so much better (Mary Alice/Geoff/everyone else <3). This guy is so full of himself, and acts as if he's the only one who does things like drape the fondant.

I really don't think the bit with the bridezilla last night was scripted, I think she was just an amazingly bitchy brat who was being forced into having a wedding. Mary Alice...

This guy and his sisters are fucking insane. How do they get other people to work there when they act the way they do? I can't even believe they signed up for this shit knowing what kind of trainwrecks they are.

What does this do for their shop? I mean seriously, at least with Duff & Co. They are good peeps, they are decent and have great personalities and the only drama on the show is cakes breaking and fondont(sp) mishaps, not yelling and rage...

^^^ Yeah, that. I enjoy cake shows and I enjoy behind the scenes reality shows, but the trailers for this made me cringe and want to throw something at the TV. I hate him on the food challenges as well. Maybe if I watch with the sound off? I'll probably try one show, pretaped so I can fast forward. We'll see.

Hmmm. I have found him very annoying in Food Network Challenges. Very prone to "I'll do it MY way and nobody else has any taste/brains/say-so whatsoever!" Of course, that does make for good TV. I just don't know if I can watch him.
