Here I was coming to post that I lemented the demise of this series until I saw the above.... So, now I'm kinda glad it's gone.

I only discovered the series by accident on Hulu a few weeks ago. Really, very good. Too bad I never heard diddly squat about the series when it was on. They stuck it up against a bunch of other stuff I watched on Sunday nights. I'm pretty much their target audience. Bad job of...

So what we're expected to believe hotshot astronaut bounced from Antares by Beta actually got so drunk he clobbered a bicyclist? Twice the limit? I think not. Somebody somewhere set him up, and the girl in the coma is a test crash dummy. Goss?

Lurved the sequence with bored blonde Zoe and the denouement of practice your Venus line.

Parriott explained, the show wasn't officially picked up by ABC until a mere three weeks before the first episode aired, virtually giving them no time to market the show properly. By that time, all ad space they needed for the show to get the awareness it needed was spoken for.

Thanks PM! That is as good an explanation as I could hope for. This is why I generally don't bother watching shows from the beginning and wait until they have been out a year. I hate getting invested in something that is doomed.

Spoiler Alert:

Beta was one of 7 life forms on 7 different planets/moon that were communicating with each other. The mission was really to retrieve/unite them. What seemed to have been in the future of the series was a genetic evolution of the crew to cope with the difficulties of retrieving them. I'm pretty sure that the man Nadia kept seeing was really Florentine Lahme with a beard and baseball cap. So either Nadia has a twin brother who met an unpleasant end or, I'm thinking more likely, Nadia was born a man.

Christina Cox worked on a few projects with one of my bestest friends, ever. A different friend worked on her series Blood Ties. Two more friends were trainers of hers. Canada is like a small club, everyone in TV is linked to everyone else in a dozen different ways.

While I liked Blood Ties, one of her best roles was Sunday night's episode of Dexter, as the family killing cop.
