Tom wanted the merge at 10/BJ on jury instead of Coby so that he could be the first unanimous winner and beat Earl out by 4 seasons for that title, I'm pretty sure. But yeah, there was at least a mutual respect between BJ and Tom, I think.

I have no problem with Bobby Jon losing the fire challenge against Steph. However i find it ironic coz it was Bobby that taught Steph how to make fire probarly. I guess Bobby Jon was a good teacher. I know from Palau commentary that when Steph realized it was fire challenge, her first though was i am going home tonight asap. There no change i am going to win against Bobby making fire.
However my biggest beef was that i have strong feeling that Survivor producer changed ruled when they...

What are you talking about? There were ties at Angie and James's boots. He knew past votes weren't the tiebreaker and it would be some sort of challenge without a vote, the first and only tribal council in Survivor history. I was responding to GJ's claim that...

In Amanda's attempted boot in Micronesia, Cirie tells Amanda that she won't force a tie because of the Purple Rock. So I'm pretty sure that the rules have stayed the same.

I'm pretty positive they tell them all what the tiebreakers will be in their contracts. Do you people not ever wonder why we've never had a deadlock tie vote with a group of castaways larger then four people??!! Because they all know the tie-breaker is the purple rock.

Not sure if they did in Palau, but I know she said their contracts said what the tiebreakers were in Micro. And "agreement to never vote for each other", or not....there's no way James should've survived that tribal council and that it came down to BJ or Angie. Mind you, Ibe would've gone and both would've survived without that Immunity bit, but since at least 3 korors...

They ALL know what the tiebreaker is when it comes to a deadlocked vote. They've told them what it was ever since the purple rock in Marquesas.

Whenever there's a tie or deadlock vote with more than four people they go to Purple Rock. When there's a tie with four people or less they do a fire-making challenge - Cirie ,or some other castaway I can't remember 100%, confirmed this a while ago.

The show is called SURVIVOR. What is one of the most important elements to survival, FIRE. They should learn how to at least start a fire with flint. That doesn't mean you have to make it every time, just learn how to.Bobby Jon has plenty of opportunities to save himself, he wasn't good enough to win immunity, and went home. It was pretty fair in my eyes.

The crazy thing about firemaking tiebreakers is that they are biased AGAINST those who are good at making fire. When building a survival type fire, the last thing you want is to build it with high, fast flames, which is what you have to do to burn through the rope. This is why people like Bobby Jon end up losing to people like Stephenie, and it's inherently unfair.

Ulong did have a great tribe. The only weak links were Ashlee & James -- if they had gotten rid of those 2 first, they would have been in much better shape. But who knows, the leadership differences from Jolanda and if Jeff still got injured would have hurt them anyway, but James really did drag them down. Say what you want about Kim, but she was easily the smartest person on Ulong and Koror combined. They could have used her much more in the puzzle challenges after she was voted out....
