I love the cold! I keep the thermostat around 65 and a fan going most of the winter, and that's still plenty warm to wear shorts and t-shirts around the house. And I really like jackets and coats --- I have a closet full for different temperatures and occasions. It is important to always be appropriately dressed.

But snow gets to be a pain in the ass. And messy. I finally gave up on having wet feet all day, and now in the winter I usually wear my UGG boots with my suit pants...

You guys are nuts. The cold is not meant to be revered. It is not meant to be conquered. It is meant to be cursed and hated while you hike up the thermostat, snuggle under some blankets, and drink some hot tea.

I am cold stubborn or stupid depending on how people think. I wear shorts year round in the house. I too hate winter coats, and live in open toe shoes or go barefoot most of the year. i hate having the heat on and blowing hot air, i cannot breathe. I like sleeping in a cold house with my heated mattress pad turned on for warmth.

We only have a 1 car garage (that my minivan doesn't fit in) so I always have to scrape or clear snow off my car in the winter. I bought the minivan used and it has a remote starter. The remote starter has never worked (we think it's just a loose wire, but the mister isn't handy) and I'm too cheap to get it fixed.

i used to love the winter. now, i hate being cold. i'll wear a coat but a hat and gloves is too much. i never did bother with them.

I hate the cold - I do not participate in winter sports other than the occasional sled ride with the kids. Still, I don't complain about it. I like sleeping in a cold house ( Saving all those petrodollars ) and will run out to the car and whatnot without shoes or coat. I'm a stubborn fuck and refuse to let the cold 'beat me'.
