Eh, caught an old LOST-like movie this weekend with Susan Dey. People in the hidden valley didn't age and they wore clothes that were basically identical to the Other's jungle walk-about clothing:

It would be very sad for the last scene to be Desmond waking up in the Swan hatch, having his breakfast and vaccine shot, and then entering the code - in 2010.

Of course at some point the powers that be would need to refresh the staffing in there or to at least bring in a station partner to help out Desmond. Hmmm, perhaps that could be Jack in a different life?

Seriously, I think the show ends with the Oceanic plane landing in LA and all the people getting off without even knowing one another. I think that in the end Ben finds a way to turn the clock back before the crash and makes sure that Desmond hits the key. It is all about manipulated time.

Alien does seem right because Ben refered to some energy source of unknown origin in the shaft where the donkey wheel was. This provided them the with ability to do teleportation, which explains how they got things and people to the island and vice versa. I think by breaking that device so it was no longer self contained - everything on the island got teleported somewhere.

But Ben didn't move with the island and he was right in the thick of this energy.He'll emerge from...

So this whole moving the island thing makes it again seem like there's a ancient buried alien spaceship under the island, just like in the one Stephen King novel. That's my theory and I'm sticking with it until its proven otherwise.

I can and will argue my same point. It was not their sexuality but their shame at doing what they were told not to do. They knew when they ate of the fruit they became aware of their sin--disobeying God. God has no problem with sexuality. Does "Be fruitful and multiply" ring a bell? You're trying to apply a literature metaphor to a theological fact.

Adam and Eve were told not to indulge upon the forbidden fruit. She listened to the snake and did, and in retaliation they were made lucid of their sexuality. So in a sense, sexuality marked the end of Eden. Even if it wasn't sexuality that spurred the loss of Eden. Perhaps I wasn't clear enough.

Perhaps pregnancy is an act against the island who sees it as a breech of perfection. After all, the revelation of sexuality was what ended Eden to begin with. Maybe in this perfect state that's not allowed.

Um, no. That's not what ended "Eden" or caused Adam and Eve to leave Eden. Just sayin'.

I'm just throwing this out there. I'm sure this isn't right, I'm sure this has probably been thought about before, but it occurred to me ironically during the Survivor finale Sunday and I've been itching to get it out. What if...the island...is Eden? You know, the Garden of Eden. The big 'ole paradise of Christian lore.

I think there's a lot of evidence for this interpretation, as well as explanations for questions we have, if we adopt this idea....

... and another thing, I think it would be great if a new character, who is a recognisable actor from another TV show (past or present), had a name that was either identical to, or at least a reference to, their character's name on said previous show. That time-loop theory is fascinating. I like that the reason for certain main characters dying is not, like so many have speculated, because they 'finally exorcised their personal demons' or have 'accomplished what they were meant to', but because their fundamental change in character (their 'epiphany') would prevent them from doing what they were meant to and therefore must be killed by the smoke monster so that someone else will pick up the slack. lol, that guy has...
