didn't realize books were coming out either. don't exactly remember enough details about the end of the last season but i might try and read them in the future since the cliffhanger ending was frustrating.

ya know.. I thought I missed it, but then I sat down the other day to watch old episodes and I really wished I didn't. I would still like to know how it ends, but not enough to read a book or two about it.

I agree that by seasons 3 & 4 the show was veering off course a bit, but overall I still enjoyed the whole series a lot. I think a lot of fans were upset when they killed off Laura Allen's character. To me Lily remains one of the most tragic characters on television. The way she died at the beginning of season 3.....and then when they brought her back in season 4 only to have her "fade away" in Richard's arms again at the end of the episode...SO SAD!!!

Hey folks, sorry to bump an old thread, but on the off-chance there are still a few fans of this show kicking around the boards, just thought I'd let you all know that at the end of July they released the first of two (so far) novels that continue the story after the unresolved cliffhanger that ended the actual television series. This is probably the closest thing there will ever be to a continuation of "The 4400" series, so I just figured I'd let anybody who may not have...

Wow this campaign to save the show is actually getting some attention. The Associated Press ran a story about it today:

Did anyone watch this new show on USA last night? It's a 5 week series (could turn into long running one if the ratings are good) about 4400 people who have disappeared over the last 50-60 years who all suddenly return one day not knowing they even disappeared.
