A couple of weeks ago, we were in Alaska and got to take a trip on the Aleutian Ballard (season's two and three). They've fitted the ship for tourists and they take you out and pull some pots and fishing gear. Owner and staff did an excellent job, telling stories of their experiences crabbing, and also telling us about the different wildlife they brought up, (which they then released), and patiently answering questions from everyone.

I went on a "jobs that suck" kick earlier this summer. I tried out Ice Road Truckers, Black Gold, Big Brother, and Ax Men. Only Deadliest Catch holds my interest -- it's clearly the class of the genre.

Anyone still watching?

Here's the stuff that Bubbs mentioned....very interesting and given all of our experience with reality TV, not surprising in the least. I'm just sorry that the producers used the crews' naivete against them
