They often enter limited batches into competition. It is about brand recognition. The weirder thing is: Cheap wine made in a small batch. THAT is more uncommon.

After how upset Justin was about not being considered to father Tommy's kids, I can't see him giving up his and Rebecca's child to Kevin and Scotty.

I can understand twilight boy not sabotaging the wine before the event. If it tanked at the event, then they would have felt defeated and more likely to sell. If it didn't get to the event, it would have just been a setback, but they would have still believed that the company could make it by producing another batch....

I don't think so. It was supposed to be a batch of relatively shitty grape juice but shockers it turned out to be award winning & worth loads of money.

At the end of the last season, Holly was worried about Rebecca. She told David that Rebecca went crazy over that guy in Chicago, which is why she was worried that Justin/Rebecca were going to fast. Maybe Rebecca feels like she's losing Justin to med school, so she's going psycho and lying about possibly having a kid. And did they drop the "Daddy Walker is a killer" storyline? All we see is Twilight Ryan sabotoging shit.
