I loved Vecepia and love Cirie. Vecepia remains to me my favorite Survivor winner ever. Maybe if I rewatched that season I would think differently, but from what I remember of Marquesas, I thought she was a great underdog and played a great game. Luck plays a role in any game, but you can't say that she won because of a purple rock. She was the first underdog winner and got to the end by backstabbing Kathy which was a great move. It was refreshing to see an underdog get to the end...

I actually just got through watching S4 Marquesas for the first time today and I am on board with those that don't see this as a fit comparison (as mentioned earlier I think Cirie vs. Lydia would be a better choice).

Cirie took a stronger lead when it came to strategizing and shaping of alliances. Vee was actually fairly good in the challenges and able to win immunities. Although being good in challenges shouldn't be your entire game (i.e. Terry), I think it's pretty damn important...

Rob's plan to get Alex voted out would have been better if Heidi didn't overhear Alex telling Rob that he would vote for him when it is the final 4. Heidi and Jenna were sleeping right next to them when they were talking and Heidi in an interview said she overheard Alex and told Jenna. Thus, Jenna and Heidi were not surprised when Alex was voted out. Look at their lack of expressions when he was voted out. Imagine if they had no clue. It would have been so much better.

Okay. WHY IS THIS EVEN A THREAD? We all know Cirie would blow Darth Towery out of the freakin' water! I'll even go into reasons. Marquesas is my favorite season of Survivor ever...but the wrong person won. V rode the coat tails of Sean, who had he kept his mouth shut, would have made the Final Four. We all know that Kathy should have won S4. Cirie didn't ride any coat tails, although it appeared that she was riding Shane's. I really don't understand the hate for Vecepia, on these boards. She's personally one of my favorite winners, I also don't really care if she was "boring" or not, and yes, her "preaching" got hypocritical, but that's the only thing I found wrong with Vee. Maybe the fact that she's the only black winner makes her stand out like a sore-thumb, or whatever.

The others were just morons. Kathy would have won if she simply didn't listen to Neleh and put her tit back in...

I'm started watching Marquesas for the first time a few weeks ago, and I *think* Vecepia was intentionally hidden by the editors because of her extremely UTR strategy. The editors fitted her editing to her strategy I guess. (although if you rewatched Marquesas you can see bits of V personality, and her confessionals were purely about the game.). Cirie also used a UTR (aka "stay out of the drama") strategy, but she was more on the offensive (compared to V), especially when she was...
