RJ!
He never lived up to his potential and his nerves got to him, but his "Lately" and "Annie's Song" were beautiful. |

Well, I guess it beats the phrase, "Do you want fries with that?" Singing for their supper.

Most random group of AI finalists ever. I mean, WTF remembers Brandon or Haley/Phyllis/Stacey? |

Life is a cabaret--for Christina Christian, Paris and John Peter Lewis and Lakeshia. Why no Nikko Smith at the Nikko? With all the these Idols getting
bookings with these new shows, it won't be too long until Sanjaya, Corey Clark, Chicken Little and Matt Rogers will be head lining in Vegas.
Lesser Idols launch cabaret tour in S.F.Friday, June 13, 2008 Beginning in July, 17 castoffs from the first six seasons of the popular Fox television singing competition will get a reprieve from the county fair circuit as part of the "Idols in Concert" tour, which settles in for a nine-week engagement at the Rrazz Room at Hotel Nikko in San Francisco. The city is the first stop for what producers hope will be a traveling cabaret. Under the direction of "American Idol" pianist Michael Orland, finalists such as Gina Glocksen, Constantine Maroulis, Lisa Tucker, Christina Christian and Paris Bennett, plus a handful of less memorable names - most of whom placed between fifth and eighth in their respective seasons - will reprise the performances that got them the most votes on the series. Each week, the Rrazz Room will host three acts. The residency kicks off July 1-5 with Anwar Robinson, Lakisha Jones and Jon Peter Lewis. Calling from home in Los Angeles, Season 3 finalist Lewis said, "It's always fun to be onstage performing in front of a live audience." He said the performers will each get 15-minute solo sets, which he plans to use to play material from his forthcoming album, "Break the Silence." There is also some talk of closing each set with a couple of duets and ensemble pieces. "I was never a fan of the song-and-dance routines on the show, though, so I'm not going to dance," he said. This tour should not be confused with the "American Idols Live Tour 2008," which features the Top 12 performers from the most recent season, including winner David Cook and runner-up David Archuleta. That show should feature plenty of singing and dancing and heads to HP Pavilion on July 8.
Idols in Concert: Jul. 1- Aug. 30. 7:30 p.m. Rrazz Room, Hotel Nikko, 222 Mason St., San Francisco. $45-$55. (866) 468-3399, www.therrazzroom.com. |

That's a lot of money for 3 15 minute sets from some neverwas's. I think I'd rather sit home and spend the money on pizza and coolers with some of
my friends and watch reruns of AI Rewind. Are they really expecting people to pay $55? The AI Tour tickets aren't that much more than that.

What would Simon think of these no-name losers being in a cabaret tour?
And WTF would pay to see Gina/Constantwat duet together? They want to make $$$ right? |

I wonder why Paris couldn't make a decent career off S5. She was highly praised and everybody else that Season has done well.

I also liked Paris on the show but she only has herself to blame for her post-idol career (or lack thereof)
Firstly, she would've been on a better path had she taken the "jazz standards/Broadway" route and not the generic RnB/pop fluff. Secondly, she collaborated with............................................. Kevin Covais She's a case of "good technical singer with an established identity" but went against the grain and look where she is now. |

Carmen just announced that she is expecting so I wonder how long she'll be in the show. She is probably the biggest draw from that bunch and if they can
only draw 100 people in per night, I'd say that show is in trouble.
