I guess it's good to break these out so we can yammer about them individually.
Have to say, fuck CBS and their Flash site...you can't link to the photos and that sucks. Yy for the orange CSI! ![]() ![]() RIP, Speedle.

I am an avid CSI fan but for some reason cannot stand CSI: Miami. Maybe it's my utter hatred for David Caruso that does it, but I watched a couple of episodes and could barely make it through them. That blonde chick is the worst actress ever.

You know, Horatio is too intense and too dramatic in this show, but it's good in spite of that. I don't mind him that much, but can understand how he would turn people off.
Still, it would be a shame to dismiss the whole show for that reason. I would watch Emily Procter read the phone book! I have loved her ever since her first appearance on The West Wing. And I think the cast is tops. A few minutes of Caruso playing hero each week? Not that big a deal. edirted to correct Emily's last name. |

I like this after original CSI . Funny, I liked Caruso on NYPD Blue until he blew it and left to nothing. Don't mind him on this.
Think he won't do that again. I see there's someone new coming on so, look forward to that. |

Re: CSI: Miami | ||

.. What's with all the Horatio hating? I've always thought the exact opposite of him --- I thought him as a guy who was nice and would help out anybody. (Like that Stevie kid from last week's ep.)

A couple of points.
1. Yes, Emily Procter does rule ! 2. I like David Caruso. I did not watch NYPD Blue, so I don't know him from that show. On CSI Miami, I like the character of Horatio Caine. I like how he comes down hard on the bad guys and I like how he protects and interacts with the children in danger, building their trust. |

Oh my God, Ryan is a cutie, and its nice to have some fresh energy to this show. He's very CSI-Greg like, but hey, this program has hardly been original.

Re: CSI: Miami | ||

Yes! That was my thought, that Ryan is a total Greg clone. I like Greg, but I don't need another one. Oh well, I'll still watch it. It's not as good as the original but far better than CSI:NY. <vomit>

Wolf isn't Greg, he's Wesley Crusher.
Horatio is the most Shatnerian character on TV this side of Boston Legal. Me likey Calleigh. |

Glad to see that I wasnt the only one who thought that the newbie was a total Greg-Clone. Oh well, hes still a cutie. RIP Speed.
As for David Caruso, I dont mind the guy, but the only thing I have going thru my head when ever the opening sequence for CSI:Miami starts is the scene from South Park "Ike do your impression of David Caruso's career!" Ike: "Arrrrrrrgggggghhh! (sounds like Ike is falling into a hole." Ok, so its much better when you actually see the cartoon. But I digress... |

Re: CSI: Miami | ||

David Caruso?! ECK! I like the show, but he makes my skin crawl whenever he utters his lines...setting up for a dramatic cut to commercial. Look down, deliver line, start walking, jump to black, then to commercial. He says EVERYTHING at the same pace and uses the same tone. I think he sounds like a pervert when he's talking to kids.
As for Emily Proctor, she's great! |

Good show last night. Like the new guy. Wolfe.
Calleigh has to stop enabling that father of hers. Guess she took a step last night. |

Re: CSI: Miami | ||
Quote: That's the whole point. Why does Horatio need to do that practically every week/ Is he ... a CSI? A cop? A social worker? A psychologist? To be honest .. he's everything but a CSI. Plus the scenes where he's being all compassionate with children is just creepy. Law enforcement workers should be impartial, and as such when he does it .. it lends such an air of unbelievablity to the show. On top of the fact that the show is called "CSI" not "Miami Beat" or "Miami Cops" or some such thing. So it should be more about the evidence and not all these exterior things which would muddle up the investigation. Horatio is made out to be some kind of demi-God .. who can do everything & anything, and that's just plain annoying when you know that the rest of the team are the ones putting in major hours doing actual work. And voila, Horatio pops in and in 5 seconds points to something and it's the solution. Btw why is he so far in front of the picture in the poster? That just seems so wrong. |

Quote: I just think David Caruso is an overactor, at least in this show. It pains me to watch him. I still watch CSI: Miami, but I prefer the original. |

Re: CSI: Miami | ||
Quote:LOL his delivery is so funny, it's become a self-parody. Last week at my mom's birthday, my brother-in-law and I kept talking to eachother in Horatio-speak. "THAT.......was good cake". The dramatic pauses when saying mundane things, the emphasis as though they are words of deep wisdom when he's just asking you to pass the salt. It makes William Shatner look subtle in comparison. Is this what passes for acting? If someone talked like that in real life they would be looked at as a freak, but in the show they look at him as a god. SPIT IT OUT, man! Just say what you need to say. |
