Here's the question:
If an airplane is on a moving runway that is going backwards at the same speed the airplane is going forwards, and they stay constant to one another as the airplane accelerates, will the airplane be able to take off?
They are debating this on the radio right now. I can't see how the plane can take off if it's not moving. It seems to me once the airplane gets off the moving runway, it will just die and fall.
