Y'know, that was cool how the last became first on the last leg... and it was the fact that they were last that broke the game open for them and enabled them to become first! Did TW's religion theory include anything on that?

There are a few posters on this board that are very talented at interpreting editing and symbolism. Tapewatcher is one of those. Just in case you forgot, read it again. I am in awe of the ability that Tapewatcher and a few others have.

Posts: 1383 09/23/04 04:20 PM Registered User Reply Quote More Recent Posts	I noticed on the beginning of the finale when they described the final 4 teams, they used the word "beleive" to describe both chip/kim and colin/christie, and they came in 1-2. They interestingly did NOT use that word in describing brandon/nicole, who were the most overtly religious team. This stuck out in my mind. The quote was something like "Kim never stopped believing in Chip" or whatever. When I heard the announcer use that word in both teams descriptions, I thought of this topic and I knew they would finish first and second, I just didn't know in which order. You nailed it!!

I thought Chip's call to for the twins to come over for a hug was incredibly profound. I immediately flashed to the Sphinx, where is Chip didn't "save" Kami/Karli, they would probably still be cluelessly walking around looking for the cluebox. There was something about that moment of repentance, restitution, forgiveness and redemption that set up that ending shot. I'm still blown away how the religious imagery was so dramatically set up by the actions of the teams and the editing. The whole season itself was a great story.
