Posts: 1684 (09/26/07 7:24 AM) Registered User Reply Quote More Recent Posts	Morning all - last night I did a crazy thing - I didn't turn on my computer - it was oddly liberating - watched Reaper and Cane and enjoyed both - a few odds and end responses: -Yes, Eric got the 40K + the stipend so he effectively tied Dani for 2nd place earnings. -Don't know/never met Adam from TAR6 - don't recall seeing him in LA last week. -Cook is a funny guy - he is not a cook, he works in a bank. -Just read Jess' BBC interview and I agree, both the questions and answers were excellent. -Gators - i won't comment re ufc until i know slydog has caught up - but thanks for the link! I did a 6 hour UFC catch up on sunday. -As for chatting in the Eric BB forum I was toying with doing it tonight during E/J's real player interview - but I have a conflict on the front end so I'm not sure if it'll work - plus wednesday nights are overloaded with tv. -As for TAR - sure I want E/J on if that's what they want and there's any demand, however, then i'd want an entire gimmick-cast season -- and not to have them intermixed with a regular cast. Keep pure TAR pure. Now Eric on Top Chef would be entertaining. After a week one fancy grilled cheese at the quickfire, I'm not sure where he'd go. Hell's Kitchen would be even better.

If he wants to be on TAR, then I'm all for him doing it. He's welcome on my tv screen anytime. As for TAR, I hate stunt casting. One of the things I've always liked about TAR is taking people who aren't used to being around the cameras and putting them out there for the world to see at their worst: dirty, sick, tired. I like Eric and would enjoy seeing him on my tv again. TAR would not be my top choice, because it goes against what I love about TAR as I stated above. However, if he ended up on TAR, because I do like him and find him entertaining, I wouldn't complain. When Romber was initially cast for TAR, although I was already tired of them at that point, I was open to it because I wanted to see what would happen when they weren't plotting and scheming ala Survivor. It was when they turned my beloved TAR into Survivor that I grew to despise seeing them on my tv. Of course, my opinion of Rob is biased. My SIL grew up with him and doesn't have anything complimentary to say about him.

He was so kind, respectful and sweet to her that I admired him even MORE......I was really pulling for them. But yes, they so love the spotlight! (LOL)

With Jessica coming to NYC this Thanksgiving what can we do to faciltate the Jeric Team from getting an invite from the Letterman Show as well as Regis and Kellie Lee? Regis and Letterman are friends (what with appearing on each others shows and such) and then Letterman owns Worldwide Pants Productions which has produced numerous shows for CBS i.e. The Nanny etc. There seems to me all kinds of possibilities for promoting the romance story of the year (IMHO), courageous brother returns from Iraq after fighting for us, plus NY dentist to the "Stars" gives tips on preventing serious gum disease. "Must see TV". Perhaps eventually leading to a VH1 reality show (again owned by CBS/Viacom and I recall Eric's 1st declaration of love in front of five million people (not to mention the extended Stein and Hughbanks families) even brought tears to Julie Chen's eyes.) And was that a double ohhhhhh from her and Jess? I defer to you Sir, one of the top NYC lawyers (who stand heads and shoulders above those high priced Philadelphia Lawyers), on what if anything we can do to faciltate furthering The Jeric Team's TV career (way more then 15 minutes-). I'm glad you got on TAR instead Tammy....and although I grew to like your family, I do wish you'd gotten cast on a regular season. I have a feeling you'd have kicked ass! As I said, I like Eric and he's welcome on my tv anytime. If CBS wants to put him on TAR, I'll certainly watch...but I'd be watching with or without him. I'd be happy for him to get the opportunity, because I know he'd enjoy it. But I'm not getting obsessive psychofan who's emailing CBS nonstop to get Eric on TAR either. I prefer to have unknowns cast for the experience. However, if Eric did get on TAR, I'd support him just the same as with BB.

There has only been one person from BB that has ever been on it. Every year it's the same thing, they talk about who they would want to do TAR with and nothing ever comes out of it. Thankfully. Janelle is still talking about it, it never ends. I hope they never put anyone from BB on there again. It just amuses me because the producers seem to feed their delusions even more by asking questions about it. Julie Chen was heard asking Dani & Dick at the end of the last show. They need to just get over it already.

They need to just get over it already. some of it makes sense. casting is so risky that using a known commodity isn't a bad thing. there have been some complete duds on bb, TAR, every show. so if you know someone is going to be entertaining, i don't see anything wrong with using them. i just want to be entertained, be it by new people or retreads.

That and it would be months after the show aired. Survivor China will almost be done. Forget it. This cast's one initial Letterman shot would have been D/D on the Wednesday night after the finale.

At this point Thanksgiving is much too far away for the Jeric shelf life. TAR is probably too far in the future for Jess and Eric's marketability. Letterman wouldn't have them on for the fact that there is nothing to promote. The reason Rob and Amber made it was because they continuously did things, after All Stars they did a show, and then i believe another show, and THEN TAR, Eric and Jess would need to continue to be in the media and keep their names out their. By the time TAR was even to pick them up for the show, a majority of people won't even remember them. UNLESS, like Senor said, it was a reality TV ALL-Stars.
