I've only labeled 1 person as racist Will and that is Dictatorship, who is pretty notorious for being so. He is also known as Tennis Ace and his shtick is to like the cute white females in any season. He's basically unapologetically racist, and I'm not the 1st to think of him in this way

Danni's win is weird because her editing didn't really fit, but she did come on strong at the end of the season (Like when Gary got booted). Becky really never got a strong edit. Edgic kind of threw in Danni's win as the storyline of how Steph lost, but it really can't be explained. Edgic really isn't a proven theory, but it is genearlly good at finding out the end game players. Thats pretty much it is all good for.

True. But overall, it was UTR. The point isn't that a Becky UTR win had to identical to Danni. You never know what kind of winner edit is going to be thrown at us, as Danni, Jenna, and many others have shown, so basing edgic winner predictions around any kind of "pattern" is a joke at this point. The main complaints about editing are:


(1) Too many UTR players made it too far in CI. This claim is refuted by the same proportion of UTR players who made it in Guatemala to F4, and the same number who made it to F5 in Borneo. And there might be other examples. Regardless of whether those UTR edits were better than Sundra and Becky, the PROPORTION of UTR edits in these seasons remained the same and that is the point. If you want to talk about the quality of UTR edits, then you must look at the 20 person format and understand that you trade a small and negligible amount of character development for an increase in casting size and editing options

In addition, "far" is subjective. People complain about UTR edited Becky and Sundra making it to F4, but you can just as easily, look at the entire merge group. The number for CI remains at 2. A season like Vanuatu had 3 UTR players make it to the merge. So you can easily start complaining about that, and that was a 18 person cast


(2) The UTR edited players were the worst in editing history. This claim is completely bogus as you can see, because Becky, the "worst" edit of CI is STILL better off than Jenn Lyon of Palau. You can also see that she's probably better off than Amber, Nick, and Darrah as well, and yet, there is no peep from others about this. Overall, when you consider that CI is a 20 person cast, then shouldn't people be outraged over Amber and Nick's edit concerning that was a smaller 16 person cast and both made it to the merge? Additionally, as we already noted, 20 person casts are going to involve a different visibility distribution for obvious reasons, and we certainly get a lot of different positives from it, like more characters to root for or giving the editors more material to work with. In addition, most assume that "forgettable" individuals like the mid-boots were UTR edited, when in fact they were not. Many were MOR boots, but the discrepencies between viewer opinion and visibility facts is telling


(3) The editing is not equal for everyone. Not everyone is developed! This is 1 of the dumbest claims, but it is still made. Basically, 1 look at an edgic chart should clearly show that no season has equal or fair editing, and for ALL seasons including the 20 person ones, about 14 people are usually given a decent degree of visibility (MOR, CP, OTT) except for Guatemala which is 13


(4) The editing of CI was good guys versus bad guys, with the Aitu 4 shoved down our throats. This too has been an unsubstantiated claim that has taken off, even though it proves false and selective. Most seasons use the underdog editing storyline, and while the Aitu 4 did get that storyline for awhile, it did fizzle out as most do, and then the story changed to how Yul wins and Ozzy was close runner up--the same type of story that happens in most seasons. The claim basically indicates that the Aitu 4 should have OTTP ratings, and that Raro was unjustly negatively portrayed and how unfair is that. The problem is that most losers are given a negative edit at some point to explain their losses, and Raro is not special in this way. The only negative edits overall for latter Raro were Candice, Adam, and Jenny, while Parvati was actually positive. Aitu did get a lot of positive ratings as Sundra, Ozzy, and Yul got almost all the different types of positive ratings possible: UTRP, MORP, and CPP respectively. Becky however, was not a positive but neutral, which pokes holes in that idea. Worse, not 1 of the Aitu 4 got an OTTP rating overall. In fact, the season with the most OTTP ratings is Outback where Liz and Rodger were both OTTP respectively, and 2/3 of the F3 were also Ps. So, CI is hardly the most shoved down our throat tribe edits, comparatively speaking. When you take a look at even Guatemala, every new Yaxha got a positive rating: Danni was UTRP, BJ and Brandon were MORP, and Gary was CPP. This is a more positive overall rating than the Aitu 4 even, and Judd got the worst negative villain edit of any merge castaway from Guatemala or CI with a OTTN rating. Yet the most complaints concerning this is centered around CI, and the correlation between Raro being an all white alliance (plus Nate), being edited negative, but being liked more than Aitu seems suspect

As far as my favorites being Cao Boi, Jonathan, Parvati, and Flicka.. All I have to say is when I typed that I didn't even think about race. I don't think about race really any of the time. I mean I don't really know what I am supposed to say. If I like someone like Cirie, then you guys will say oh well she is black, but since she was so popular it doesn't count.. Uhh what? Sorry but that just doesn't make sense. I like OTT people/weird strategy people and hardcore strategists. I hate people like Tom and Yul who try to manhandle the game and make everyone bow down to them. Its boring game play. I give all the credit in the world to Tom and Yul, but their gameplay was boring as shit.

"Bias" indicates unconscious favoritism. We understand that you don't have a conscious issue with race or any kind of negative intention. That's why I am NOT saying you are racist. HOWEVER, that doesn't mean race does not affect your opinions or ability to relate to characters. That is what we mean by "race bias". And like I said, you may not have any race bias. We don't know. I'm just looking at the reasons you're giving me for not relating to certain castaways and when I don't see them flesh out, then I turn to alternative explanations. I don't have an issue if you just say you didn't relate to the other castaways, but when you try to attach reasons (i.e. because they were "boring") then I have a problem. If you say something a bit more humble like, "I personally didn't find them as interesting, but I'm sure they were to other people" then it's a more objective stance which I can appreciate

I liked Flicka's attitude in the game because she didn't really seem to know what was going on, and I was hoping that she was going to say Fuck you to Yul and vote him out. Alas that never happened.

A bit passionately hateful don't you think? And I mean, wouldn't that mean you hate all the bland personalities from all the other seasons? CI is not alone in this area

Cao Boi, I mean he was just a crazy old man that the younger asians didn't appreciate. I liked Parvati's personality, but I hated her after the merge because she just sit there and did nothing. Jonathan, well he was the strategist and he was a very good one in that. However, he shot himself in the foot when he jumped ship from Aitu.

That would be an unfair claim. The younger Asians never were not alone in not appreciating Cao Boi. Yul was very respectful towards Cao Boi, and only Flicka and Ozzy were the other ones who really seemed to treat him as well as Yul did. So you're mischaracterizing things. Yul and Becky were justified in cutting him loose since he turned on their original tribe first, and put Becky on the chopping block first. He struck the 1st blow, and Becky just finished the job

Parvati didn't just sit there. She tried to infiltrate multiple times but Aitu was a strong and unified tribe after the mutiny

I mean JP was an asshole. Brad was just meh. Rebecca was meh. I did like Jenny actually, because she pretty much went around and said fuck you to everyone. She also seemed to know the game, but she got fucked over. I will list them out:

JP - asshole to the whole tribe.. kinda indifferent on him
Brad - just meh to me.
Rebecca - ??
Sundra - was okay, not near as boring as becky. I actually wanted Sundra to win.
Ozzy - Okay, but challenge whore and I didn't want him to win. Once again, Ozzy and Yul pretty much dominated the game. Ozzy played horrible strategically.
Yul - already been said.. I hate challenge whores who man handle the game, its just boring. Props on Yul's gameplay
Adam - meh, hot mactor.. He looks almost like Jeff Wilson from Palau.. Doesn't really know how to play the game
Parvati - alright at first but then I disliked her after the merge
Jenny - I did like Jenny because she pretty much said what she wanted to
Stephannie - not really an opinion on her
Sekou - no opinion
Candace - the whole billy/candace story line was pretty hilarious. She was kinda bitchy I thought. Her and Adams relationship was stupid

Billy - he was kinda cool.. I was sad to see him go. Fuck JP
Other random latina - dont' remember her name but was sad to see her go. I believe she was the cop that tried to save Billy?
Flicka - She was meant to be courtney 2.0. She was cool just because she was there for the adventure I thought. She seemed kinda naive like some of the young girls from Season 1.
Becky - Meh whatever been reiterated 5 million times
Jonathan - awesome strategists.. good person to have on any season.

I mean I really do think its stupid how you claim its race biases.

You forget 2 of the ethnic minorities above, and you think I'm stupid for even considering race biases? Would you be offended if I thought you had a personality bias? I think you're defenses are being raised, because I'm bringing up race as an issue, and it tends to be a sensitive topic. That does not make it any less relevant or important though. You MIGHT NOT have a race bias. None of us really know. But it's not like you have exactly proved you have no race bias either

I'd also like to point out that I think the fact that a lot of the people who are seen as forgettable on CI are minorities not only has to do with Raro I being well casted, but with the fact that minorities take up 75% of the Cook Islands cast. Therefore, if they find someone boring or forgettable, there's a 75% chance that the person will wind up being a minority. It's not to say people are racist, it's simply how the casting of the season was done.

And magically you all happened to find all the Caucasians innately more interesting than all the minorities. Right. But it's not bias! It's innate boringness!

Also, I think that any sort of racial bias people may have is more so a subconscious bias AGAINST the twist of making tribes based off of ethnicity than it is a bias against Asians, Hispanics, and/or African Americans.

And uh, if you take that logic just a bit further, why would we have a bias against a race twist? *sigh*

Of course, you'll argue that Jenn was just as bad, and she WAS. The difference is that Jenn didn't go up against the jury. She was voted off. Becky went against the jury and got what, two questions? Two questions and no votes. There's a huge reason why Becky gets so much hate.

She's from a recent season, so she's more fresh in our mind. She had one of the six worst edits of all time (your numbers). She was basically shown to be useless. All of this, and she was IN THE FINAL 3! No other player ever made it to the final tribal council with such a SHITTY edit.

In terms of Lydia being more developed than Becky as a fellow UTR, I already addressed that and agreed, but the issue at hand is PROPORTION of UTRs in relation to one's own cast. In CI's case, it's a 20 person season, so EVERYONE had less visibility on the whole, but we got 4 extra characters, which I personally think is better than 4 non-existant ones

In terms of Becky vs. Jenn, I fail to see how 1 placement difference and 0 episode differences warrants such a ridiculous amount of irrational hate geared towards her. Becky was obviously not useless, but you keep saying so, so clearly you have some serious issues. And who cares if she made final TC, because she didn't win anyways. Danni and Vecepia WON with UTR edits, which is comparatively x10 shittier than all the other winners, so gimme a break with your hypocrisy KP

15 of the 20 are minorities. God forbid I forget two of their names. I mean honestly we will have to agree to disagree.

Do you forget the names of people from other seasons where the casts are practically 100% Caucasian?
