I'm not sure there's really enough story for 6 hrs, though.
I kind of like the show. It has a nice vibe to it, overall.

It was nice to see the Wicked Witch in the flash back at the end of part two.

I liked this mini-series better than the 1939 movie, but I was hoping for a better ending. I mean, it just stopped. Nothing. |

Just learned that the first episode got the Sci-Fi channels highest ratings ever.
::BLEEARRGHH:: That was me throwing up. |

To be fair, it did look interesting. I would assume ratings dropped after that, since it's just the first episode, not the entire mini-series.

But the fact is, this is much closer in tone to the original novel than the 1939 film. So, the thing about her actually being a descendant of Dorothy kind of changed the game a bit...does that mean the spirit of the witch posessing Azkedelia was actually The Wicked Witch of the West? |

This is taking up space on my TiVo - should I watch it or dump it?

I just finished it, and it was okay. I'd go ahead and watch it Sue5858, but be warned that this is NOT like the old movie, and it does drag on at times.
This could have been told in 2 parts instead of 3.

If you watch this show with the impression that it was written by a bunch of umemployed sci-fi geeks who only intended it to be acted out by their loser
friends in their parent's back yard, it's not too bad.

of "history will repeat itself." Brilliant? No. A nice piece of SFF? Oh hell yeah! Watch it if you are in the mood for a bit of fun with a
classic. Forget about it if you believe "The Wiz" was better than the original film from 1939.

It was kinda interesting, and it was fun to watch Alan Cumming do his thing in a couple fight scenes, but otherwise I give it a 'meh'.

I am like Sue that it is taking up space on my DVR and wondering if I should watch it. So, if it is okay, even interesting, but not too great with a crappy ending...is it worth watching? How about a comparison to Wicked. I thought that was great (the play) and always said that you could never watch the original movie with the same perception ever again. Will Tin Man be like that? |
