I'm not sure there's really enough story for 6 hrs, though. I kind of like the show. It has a nice vibe to it, overall.

That is what I thought too! I love Sci-fi fantasy and I loved the way the writers ran parallel to the original book while bringing home the age old theme of "history will repeat itself." Brilliant? No. A nice piece of SFF? Oh hell yeah! Watch it if you are in the mood for a bit of fun with a classic. Forget about it if you believe "The Wiz" was better than the original film from 1939.

After the success of Tin Man it was only a matter of time before Sci-Fi began brainstorming on their next big move. It was only logical that they contacted Konami, one of the largest video game creators in the world and from their meeting will come the biggest mini-series event of all time, Suikoden. Slated for a 7 day-2 hour timeslot, Suikoden will revolve around a fallen royal family that will fight to reclaim their kingdom from an evil King. Grey and Princess Laren will be the main characters in the mini-series. Konami has confirmed that the 106 Stars of Destiny will play a key role in the film. For those unfamiliar with Suikoden might like to know it is based on a videogame for Playstation. Basic plots of the game have players assume the role of the main character who battles an epic battle but first must unite the 106 Stars of Destiny (People that can use magical powers) to win. Konami has also confirmed that like in the games every character will be given their own element. No other word is released at this time but we promise to keep you updated. Look for Suikoden to come out in later 2008 to mid 2009. Source

So, if it is okay, even interesting, but not too great with a crappy ending...is it worth watching? How about a comparison to Wicked. I thought that was great (the play) and always said that you could never watch the original movie with the same perception ever again. Will Tin Man be like that?
