Is this the new political thread or must we only discuss Hillary? Is Bush getting ready to go after the Iranians?
Pre-tour naval skirmish reinforces Iran threat for BushA fresh drive for regional peace informs Bush's first presidential visit to Israel and the Palestinian West Bank, as he seeks a foreign-policy triumph in his last year in office. But Bush will also stress to Arab allies such as Saudi Arabia, which he is also visiting for the first time, that the United States will not abandon them to what he calls the Iranian nuclear "threat." The US portrayal of Iran as regional provocateur was reinforced by news that over the weekend, according to the Pentagon, Iranian speedboats swarmed around three US navy ships in the Strait of Hormuz, radioing a threat to blow them up. Iran's government played down the incident as an "ordinary occurrence" in the strait, a crucial choke point for world energy supplies with about 20-25 percent of the world's crude oil supplies passing through from Gulf states. But a White House spokesman on Monday sternly warned Iran against "provocative actions that could lead to a dangerous incident in the future." Bush was scheduled to spend Wednesday to Friday in talks with Israeli and Palestinian leaders, before heading on to Kuwait, where he was expected to meet the US military and diplomatic chiefs in Iraq. His tour will also take in Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia before ending in Egypt on January 16. "I am there to reassure and to look people in the eye and say, I believe Iran is a threat; we have a strategy to deal with it; and we want to work with you," Bush told the Arabic television station al-Arabiya. "I believe we can solve this diplomatically," he said. "On the other hand ... all options must be on the table in order to make sure diplomacy is effective." Bush's focus on Iran has been undimmed by a National Intelligence Estimate last month that said Iran halted a nuclear weapons program in 2003, and that US allegations about its atomic goals had been overblown for at least two years. Interviewed by the Israeli newspaper Yediot Ahronot, Bush said "the NIE in no way lessens that (Iranian) threat, but in fact clarifies the threat." http://afp.google.com/article/ALeqM5hW2Q4gKZHFbRKp7tHIAqNHFLzxTQ. |

Murray asked what Obama was talking about, and a couple of us tried to explain it.I did indeed, and not knowing the answer, you went to the trouble of making one up. I appreciate that effort a great deal. |

Obama's pretty face is going to get America into a lot of trouble. He's smooth and liberal. He's young and liberal. He's clever and liberal.
The only major difference between him and Hillary Clinton is that she's older, shorter and a woman. We surely don't want another Clintonesque Washington. Then we certainly don't want an Obama left-of-left reign of terror. Obama will install sodomy as every homosexual's right. He will ensconce killing womb babies, including partial-birth abortion, as the daily poster child in-your-face. Obama will be supported by every theological and political liberal from shore to shore. Moralists will be mangled. No doubt about it. If conservatives think they have endured persecution in the past, just wait till Obama hits the Oval Office. He now hugs his wife and children. He claims to be a church worker in downtown Chicago. He recites biblical verses and leans over sanctuary pulpits. He sponsors southern gospel concerts. He talks faith, God and prayer. But he is major religious fake. He is for slaying unborn children and increasing AIDS/HIV via legitimizing homosexual activity. That's just for evil starters. He talks about uniting the country, bringing us into the loving circle, hugs and kisses blooming even in winter. This is all so much planted bombshells. There will be such bloodletting if Obama is elected President that the Republic will wonder what has hit it. We will then be confronted with the extremist Muslim Islam World Rule as well as Obama's reign of liberal terror versus biblical believers. Obama will provide daily biblical exegesis like unto the most theological liberal professors in the most apostate seminaries in the country. He will quote Scripture, but it will be like unto the homosexual Episcopal bishop in New Hampshire. There will be no united nation. There will be fracture upon fracture. What will ensue is a rip throughout the Republic that no one will have the wit to heal. |

Obama is endorsed by Oprah, who is a new age pagan. Look, it's simple. Obama believes in Change because he is a Transformer. But he's not a
Decepticon like Hillary. Ok?

Besides the fact that it is NOT the media's job to determine who is and is not viable, there's this Rasmussen national poll:
As of two days ago, Edwards was only 2 points behind Obama nationally. And look at whose numbers are actually going up: Edwards. He's gone up 7 points in less than two weeks. |
