As for Natalie, it seems her only role in the game is to be Alexis' tagalong and is seen as a complete non-threat, until she's one of the last to be pagonged by the ruling alliance, which i'd speculate to be Cirie and the couples, minus James, and Ozzy's exact longetivity is unknown.

Posts: 6880 (02/24/08 3:02 PM) Registered user Reply Quote More Recent Posts	Cirie pissing those 3 off (for example) is not good, from a game standpoint: 1) if you have everyone get to the merge, they will flip on you or if they are on the jury will NOT vote for you 2) if they all do not make merge, your alliance of 5 is not guaranteed power at a merge of 10 people and 3) if you go to the end with Parv/Amada there is no guarantee that the fans will vote for you to win then again it's the same thing if she went with the other group... this split FAVS tribe really did hurt themselves moreso, it's just like Samburu tribe

Her protecting Eliza may mean something; but it's possible she's bitter. And it looks like the leading 'Favs' alliance holds strong till mid-game end-game; so as far as that goes, I think she made the right move.

Not to bring editing into this (as I always do) but isn't the tagalong ALWAYS the one who goes before the other? aka, Leanne/Ami, Nick/Austin etc? which would basically mean Natalie won't make F3 over Alexis if one of them is to make F3...

Heidi/Jenna, Cirie/Aras, Sean/Vecepia, Gregg/Jenn, etc. are some other examples. Some would probably disagree with those people being tagalongs, but I think editing-wise they got the shaft partly due to their more dominant and interesting friends. So it doesn't have to work that way, but in this case I think it probably will.

Reply Quote More Recent Posts	Most of those examples you gave are all pre Pre Exile Island where the editing of the show changed and there was always a UTR 3rd place/2nd place finisher and an obvious winner. Also, in terms of the editing Cirie was definately Aras' tagalong. Natalie doesn't win or make final 3. She finally got some airtime tonight and it was very Boo/Denise esque in the sense that she's the 1st default boot of the finale.

Piss off the other 3 of James, Ozzy and Amanda if she voted Parvati out? She went with the stronger alliance, and only did it because she was forced to move before someone else did and she ended up on the wrong side of the numbers. She is a smart and aggressive player and it definitely puts to rest any thoughts that she was an UTR player in Exile season. Cirie's insider video clip explains why Ami will be going pre-jury and possibly why Cirie sympathizes with Eliza and she outlasts Jonathan, Eliza and Ami. And based on her insider clip it seems to resolve some of the questions we have about spoilers that Ami and Jonathan leave pre-jury with others before Eliza.

If anything, Heidi (and Shawna) were Jenna's tagalongs. Jenna may have not been the most popular of the 3 girls, but it's not about popularity, it's about who's calling the shots, and that always appeared to be Jenna. And the Cirie/Aras thing is just baffling. Aras and Danielle were running things on their tribe from the beginning, and Cirie started off at the bottom of the totem pole and slowly worked her way up to a position of power. None of those people were tagalongs, the tagalongs were Shane and Courtney. Anyway, some examples of tagalongs who made it further than the people they latched on to: Amber outlasted Jerri. Amber outlasted Rob M. Erik outlasted Jaime. Gina outlasted Hunter. Jan outlasted Helen. Jason outlasted Mikey B. Jenn outlasted Gregg. Katie outlasted Ian. Kim M. outlasted Jeff W. Matt outlasted Rob C. Vecepia outlasted Sean R. And now it looks like Alexis will outlast Joel, and Natalie may outlast Alexis.

I don't see why people think Natalie is Alexis' tagalong though. Alexis hasn't been that visible either, and they voted for different people in the last TC. Jason and Alexis are more of a pair based on Mikey B's interviews.

Both wanted to take her to the end (Which was especially retarded on Aras's part because against Cirie it would have been too close to call, whereas against Danielle he wins easily). IMO when someone is taking strategic direction from another person to the extent that their entire endgame is being run by that person they become a tag along. As happened to Aras/Danielle.

Also, it looks like he's going to be wrong about Parvati and Erik. Here's a quick rundown of how he's doing so far: "Episode #1 - Drama over making fire. Favorites cheat." FALSE? (At least as far as what they showed us.) "Johnny Fairplay quits after the first challenge even though he isn't the target on the Favorite's tribe. Parvati is." TRUE. (Although Eliza was also targeted.) "JFP makes a whiny exit, over reacting and not quite understanding the game dynamics." FALSE. "The conflict between Ami and Fairplay people have been anticipating doesn't exist." TRUE. "People who you would think would be unlikely to be Fairplay's allies will be the one's sad to see him leave the most." TRUE? "His leave changes a lot of people's strategies." FALSE. "Episode #2 - Mary gets blindsided." TRUE. "she makes friends and not alliances and really truly doesn't see her boot coming." TRUE. "The reason she gets the boot is because she does try to play the game, she just waited to long to confirm who she was with alliance wise." FALSE. "Parvati does leave early; I however do not know the exact time." Probably FALSE? "So does Yau-Man and Tracy, as previously reported by someone else." TRUE for Yau-Man, probably TRUE for Tracy "Erik and Mikey also leave pre-jury." TRUE for Mikey, but he's on shaky ground with Erik "Mikey does not make final 10 and jury like reported by someone else." TRUE. "Eliza leaves EARLY jury. a lot of people seem to comment on how she is tanned and skinny. She is tanned because regardless if shes on the island shes still in a tropical paradise.... and she went in pretty thin. She does not make the end game." Probably TRUE? "Jason is MID Jury." Probably TRUE? "Alexis/Natalie make the family visit. One of them wins the reward, and the other goes with them." Probably TRUE? So yeah, not bad so far, but he's gunna look pretty silly if Parvati wins : )

They had to go for cirie now But T4K said he was referring to Ozzy starting the fire with a lighter that he snuck into the game. We saw no evidence of that having ever happened. And as far as I could tell, JFP leaving didn't change anyone's strategies. They were presumably trying to woo Cirie since the beginning. They didn't just start doing that because JFP left.
