So...for those who stood in long lines @ open calls...how many people were approx. there...i saw one other person at my call so I was wondering what turn outs
looked like...so like if 10k people showed up in 10 states...that kinda thing

Turnout in Philly was pretty sparse when I went, but there were still enough people trickling in that they made us wait around until they could put us in groups of 3 or 4. I maybe waited like 7-10 minutes. I heard turn out was bad overall. Didn't one of the casting people actually blog about the Nashville casting call saying that it was so bad that they shut it down early? There was also a blog by a girl who tried out at the Nashville call and said that each individual got to do a solo interview since there were so few people there. Now that I've actually joined the countless masses who have tried out for a reality show and have been rejected, I am choosing to take the ridiculous position of viewing this cast as a personal statement as my worth as a person, so this cast better be like, the best fucking cast ever. |

Turnout in Austin was low. There were a dozen applicants when I left. We interviewed individually with Scott and Lindsey. There was another staff member
sitting at a table in the back of the room. I'm not sure what her function was. It sounded like other casting calls were being taped, but there was no
obvious video equipment at ours. There were a couple of fame whores, including one who has already been on Treasure Hunters.
I'm with Kenneth this cast had better rock, because I was awesome! |

When I got to the call in Philly, there was a camera man just wandering around filming what was going on. He didn't appear to be filming each individual
interview in full, but little snippets.
Do you know which Treasure Hunter it was?

I also went to the Austin open call. They didn't video that day. They chose the people they wanted to video, and asked them to return on Monday. And
like the rest of the locations if you made it past that selection you were asked to submit another tape to be edited together with the video they made.
It sounds like there wasn't a very good turnout anywhere. However, I believe that the people that they did get were very good. If they can turn away people like us - the cast must be really gorgeous, smart and funny. Because from what I can tell the people waiting for a call on this site are a very good combination of all 3. Best of luck to anyone who made the finalists. Happy Mole Hunting!! |

Here is the final episode of the mole series that I have been posting about…
"In the summer of 2006, Grady Owen hosted a 3-day reality event based on the hit television series, the MOLE. Twelve of his closest friends met at his house and competed in various challenges in the hope of earning money to a collective pot. However, one person was hired to sabotage the challenges... That person is the mole. As the contestants are eliminated one by one, the cast begins to ask themselves... Who is the Mole?"

What Street Corner Are You Getting Your Info On?
notaspringchicken wrote: Nota, just wondering what street you were standing on when you got this information. I am trying to keep hope alive as holy moles has requested, but have to admit since we didn't hear anything by Wednesday which is the information I was led to believe, I am finding it hard to keep the faith that they are pushing it out to the beginning of next week. I don't want to be a doubter, and you've done a good job keeping people pumped, and so I am hoping you will share where your info is coming from. |

I called Mystic yesterday. They said if we hadn't heard anything by the end of next week then we aren't moving on.

ditto what anon austin & Nota & holy moles all have said

For whatever it's worth ... I called Mystic today and asked whether they had made the callbacks yet for The Mole. I was told they hadn't made any
decisions yet but would be making them soon. The young woman was very polite but was frank in saying that she couldn't be more specific than that. Mystic
is a class act.
I'm not suggesting that people pester Mystic with a barrage of phone calls but nothing beats hearing it straight from the horse's mouth. Peace out, ya'll! |

another way to check is to call tomorrow and see if they are working Saturday? They only work Saturday when they are trying to get through a lot and make the
big decisions. Like whether to make me the mole, or just let me figure it out for myself!

Big Decisions | ||
|
^ Yeah, but all this talk from Mystic about "no final decisions" keeps me anxiously wondering whether those "final decisions" mean
"final decisions on our cast" ... with SpringChicken and his/her friends Liz and Stan having the last laugh at our expense.
But then I slap myself upside the head, realizing that there's no benefit to Mystic in stringing us along unnecessarily, as that will simply encourage more and more pesky calls from us eager Mole applicants. Enjoy the weekend, folks! |
